Im looking to get a set of 18" x 8" wheels for the winter tires I just purchased. 235/40/R18 Blizzaks WS-80.

Im wondering if the 18 X 8" wheels for the 2010 GT will fit 2015's or is the wheel offset blot patterns so different it wont work ?

They should fit, but will need others to confirm. 235/40R18 are going to be tiny. Why did you get 40 vs 50? You'll lose ground clearance and your speedo will be off by a pretty good amount.

I had the the tire size originally set to 235/50/R18 but they sold out of size before i could get them on the tire sale.

There is just over 1-1/2 height lost to going to the 40 profile. I will have to be mindfull of going through any deep snow with these due to some clearance loss. Speedo will be tunned to correct inaccurate read out.

Provide some feedback once the season is over on the setup.

I certainly will, it needs to snow first, winter has been strangley absent in Colorado Lately.

I need to make a correction above the overall ride height. Going to a 40 profile R18 tire will result in a .92" inch or (29/32") ride height reduction vs the current fitted 235/50/R18 . The overall tire diameter between a 50 and 40 profile is 1.85" for a R18 tire. Speedometer would still read a 3-4 mph higher speed then actual speed. I guess this is could be a plus in the winter weather conditions. :headbonk: Im still going to look to get the speedometer corrected.

That's a significant ride height reduction. Hope it works! The wheel well gap to tire will look crazy.

I'm also trying to decide on what to use this winter. I'm in the north east so there will definitely be lots of snow. How much damage or wear and tear should I expect if I run the Performance pack wheels for the winter?
I've looked on tire rack and found these wheels, it does say that they fit the performance pack but I'd like to double check with you guys. ps. I'm looking for the cheapest wheels possible.

I went to the ford dealer and asked if they had a wheels + tire package for the winter I could put on my PP GT. They said they only had 1 option for wheels and it would cost $4,200 just for the 4 wheels, I told them they must be making a mistake since that number was way to high but they insisted that that was my only option, what do you guys think about that?

For winter I'd do something like this, 19x8.5 all around. Narrower is better for snow. Then you can get a 245/45R19 all around.

I appreciate your response. :)

Why does tire rack suggest 9.5 for the rear wheel?

Also, will I need the tpms transmitter? I have a 2017

That's what the stock size wheel is, and it might be thinking you're reusing stock tires with new wheels, in which case you'd need a 9.5".

I'd get new tpms, yes.

My 2017 Base Gt is slated to get here late December early January, I work at a Gm dealership, so I've been debating trying out the Cooper Weather-Master WSC in 215/55/18 on the stocker 18's that come with the base wheels.

Tire converter says that size is equal in rotation. My question is that, has anyone tried that narrow of a tire? And that brand sell well here in Canada for the price and most people like them very much. Has anyone had any experience with Cooper tires?

Too narrow for 8" wide wheels. 225/55R18 works well. It's a little taller than stock which gives about 1/4"/6 mm more ground clearance. I'd go for Blizzaks, Michelin X-ice or the newer Continental.

215 is super narrow.

I say try them out they should be good.

Ended up going with the Perelli Winter Sotozero 3 in 255/40R/19 on new 19" wheels from AM all around for my winter set up. Here are a few pics (first two).

What was the price on those? I'm trying to find quality for under 1k. Seems like everyone is charging out the ass.
