I am about to put my 2019 GT 350 R in storage today for the winter. I am going to do one more detail on it hook up the battery tender and put the cover on it. Where I live we have 3-5 inches of snow coming in today and tonight so I will not be able to get to a gas station before I store it. I have 1/2 tank in the gas tank and the GT 350 will be stored in a 60 degree fernheint garage until April. I was going to put some stabile in the gas tank, but I noticed on the stabile instructions it said, " only use with a full gas tank and fresh fuel." Just curious if the gas level will be ok with half a tank for 4 months as far as any condensation or water build up in the gas tank ?

Thanks .

I'll be watching... mine gets delivered tomorrow and will be going into storage within a week or so. Curious what people will say... I'd think you best filling up and running stabil through the system before storage. If I'm wrong, I'll be corrected.... in three, two, one....

Do you have any fuel cans? Bring the fuel to the car.
I believe it’s all about rust forming in the tank that doesn’t have fuel touching the side walls.
Don’t worry about that because we have polymer fuel tanks. Condensation can form in the gaps though.

Thank you. I can not fill the tank up now because it is already storming here. I guess it will have to survive 4 months with a half a tank at 60 degrees.

Thank you. I am not filling up Gas can and topping off the tank that way. It sounds good in theory, but we all know no matter how careful you are gas ends up on the car, your clothes, and the garage floor. Hopefully I don't lose the engine in storage.

In the grand scheme you'll likely be fine. I have read that people air up their tires to 40psi for winter storage... and I plan on doing the same. I assume you are also adding some sort of battery tender. I have not bought mine yet but people here suggest CTEK one.

I bought Battery Tender at Walmart for my 16 and 17 Shelby GT350 when I had them and it also worked very well.

You'll be fine. Fill it up in the spring right away with fresh 93 and have fun. Next fall throw a bottle of stabil in and fill with fresh 93 before storage. And the usual list:

wash and wax
clean interior
over inflate tires
battery tender (or battery minder which is better. It has full time pulse desulphation and runs diags)
Leave it sit till spring

You mentioned the garage will be a constant 60 degrees. If that’s the case condensation shouldn’t be a problem in the gas tank.
you’ll be fine till April

Kind of off topic a bit.
We may be retiring back to snow country, Wyoming actually. 60F seems pretty warm and unnecessary unless you’re working in that space. What’s the cost for something like that up in Maine? Seems like your utility bill for that space would be really high. When I lived in Colorado my house wasn’t even that warm in the winter, we’ll close anyways.

Stabil is used to treat the ethanol and keep the fuel from separating. Every container tells you how many gallons it will treat. Just dump in whatever is necessary, too much won’t hurt anything. It doesn’t matter if your tank is full or empty.
