I'm sure there is nothing wrong doing it Ford's way, however, there is also nothing wrong with method 1. In addition, you're suggesting that the "dudes" here have less collective wisdom than the Ford engineers, which I don't think necessarily does justice to the membership here. Personally, I've been wrenching for nearly 45 years and have picked up a lot of knowledge along the way. I imagine that there are fellow posters here who have been doing it even longer than me, some on a professional basis.Who cares what a bunch of dudes on the internet do or recommend? Why not follow the manufacturer's recommendations?
