It's good he was impeached, as he is definitively guilty of at least obstruction regardless of whether or not people people believe the first charge (which by definition was also illegal).

It's a shame the spineless Republican Senate will likely choose party over country, party over law and order. When the Senate Republicans knowingly chooses to look the other way at the countless articles of evidence of his guilt, we will know that the Republican party has completed eroded away their oath to protect the Constitution.

"Second, the House of Representatives must pass, by a simple majority of those present and voting, articles of impeachment, which constitute the formal allegation or allegations. Upon passage, the defendant has been "impeached."

I can't imagine someone being this dumb when literally all the information in the world is at your fingertips. We are all dumber having read your posts and may God have mercy on your soul.

I really hope they do impeach him. When republicans get to call witnesses things will get fun.

It will be interesting to see what Joe Biden has to say when ask about him withholding aid for actual criminal purposes. He even admitted what he did on video. Unless you think Hunter Biden is a skilled oil executive that deserved that money.

Remember when the IRS went after Republicans. Remember all the people that went to jail. Remember them impeaching Obama over this. Wait.

You are right though. Partisanship has destroyed this country. We should blame Trump.

Probably nothing. Wake up man. You are being manipulated.

Yep ... what America is witnessing is the blatant erosion of our Constitution. The whole premise of an impeachment clause in the Constitution is to stop a president from trying to control the government and turning it into his sole puppet without the checks and balances of the other two branches of government. The founding fathers were not stupid because they saw this and was the main reason they broke off from Britain and came to America. They wrote the Constitution in hopes this country never turned into another dictatorship. Trump would love to be a dictator, just like his buddy Putin.

No president is above the law, and Trump thinks he is and can get away with it by continually stonewalling and tweeting out "witch hunt, hoax, shame" and all the other retarded things he tweets to brainwash his blind followers.

That's because they are all cowards to uphold their oath to defined the Constitution. They are brainwashed and afraid of Trump's ramifications if any one of them voted to boot him out of office. This is a definite sign of the erosion and disregard of the Constitution because they are spineless, and controlled little children under Trump's control.

It always amazes me how your Framers had the foresight to envision this type of person all those years ago.

The Republican will not allow any witnesses to testify in the Senate trial, because they know if they call people like Barr, Giuliani, Trump, etc that those people will have to lie and purger themselves under oath to backup their bogus claims that nothing wrong was done. I'd love to see Trump testify under oath. He would be caught easily perjure himself. All he would do is sit there under oath and repeat over and over .... "witch hunt, hoax, shame, perfect call, nothing wrong done, etc, etc".

That's because they saw instances of this type of power grab and abuse of power even then ... they knew that any president left unchecked would get greedy with the power that nobody could do anything about, and that power would most likely be abused. They were very smart when writing the Constitution to try and prevent a president from becoming a king/dictator.

Bend the knee to the king, or ramifications will ensue.

I'm the one being manipulated? Howabout you pull up the amount of money dumped by foreign countries (Russia, Saudi Arabia, etc.) into Trump's various businesses. Russian elites poured over $100 million into Trump buildings. If you're going to try whataboutism, as least be effective.

The difference is Joe Biden went through the proper channels to confront the corruption in Ukraine. He didn't utilize his personal lawyer to dig into info about his political opponent with a foreign government (illegal), withhold military aid for an exchange of the information (illegal), then use his office to obstruct the investigation (ILLEGAL).

If Republicans get to call witnesses, hopefully those who refused the legal subpoenas that the Democrats were wanting to talk to do as well. Let's get Giuliani and Trump up there, no breaks, no written responses, just a good panel asking good questions.
