The “Perfect Call” SHOULD have gone like this..

Trump: Hey President (Ukrainian President). How are you? Hey, that aid money, it’s on it’s way. The United States will help you fend off that asshole Putin! You know he wants to bring the USSR back. Well, it’s been good talking to you. You should come here and visit sometime. Got to go, I need to do some Tweeting. I have a loyal following...
Perfect call more like this: Trump: Hey President, how are you, great. Oh, that money, well we have decided to spend it taking care of Americans and keeping illegals from crossing our Southern border. Putin is your problem, we kicked the ass of our previous mother country in the revolutionary war, it's time everyone else stepped up to take care of themselves. Besides, we give you money and then you give it back to people like Hunter Biden so he can buy hookers and cocaine and then go to rehab then buy more hookers and cocaine. We are sending that money to Appalachia where there are American kids with no shoes. You should come here and visit sometime, but don't even think about staying at one of my hotels because every liberal on the planet will complain. Gotta go buddy! Gotta go tweet about these asshole Democrats ruining our country!

I probably should’ve made that statement more clear.
I didn’t make reference to “the” government, I was referring to “government” generally. (Because there’s more than one of them in the world).
I was also referring to impartiality in its application to the sciences.
I’ll agree, most governments DO have an agenda, typically staying in power.
Strangely, science doesn’t care who is in power or how they feel about the findings and results.
Here in Australia, our last few PMs have been fairly staunch climate change deniers, yet the scientists they’ve funded continue to find the same results, over and over again.
I’d call that “impartial” with respect to that particular conversation.
The mean average temperature going up about 1 degree over the last 30 years is hardly climate change. Of course there is pollution, thats obvious and we should be good stewards of our homes. This whole global warming, climate change, worlds gonna end thing is getting real old. Every year the ice levels change, every year we hear, global warming will flood our cities or new ice age is upon us, every year there are hurricanes, every year we get tornadoes, every year it gets cold, every year it gets warmer, every year the sun comes up in the east and sets in the west. Give it a rest already.

Great jobs report, construction jobs up 10,000, average American take home pay up $5,000 since Trump took office. Expect D's to turn up the screaming and crying to record levels. GDP growth of 3% for 2020 in reach, D's in meltdown mode. I wonder how many Obama moles will burn themselves trying to derail the USA.

He will be impeached in the House & let off in the Senate all along party lines in both scenarios. I absolutely believe he should be removed from office due to his conduct in many aspects. Too many to go into. But he won't be.

The U.S is a hopelessly divided country in my opinion and it will get worse especially through this Impeachment if it goes ahead. As for climate change I believe we are the culprits and I'm concerned about that but I'm not ready to give up my glorious V8 either LOL.

I would not call anyone traitorous personally but I agree with those 2 as being the hold outs for either side. It would be refreshing if there were more holdouts on both sides knowing someone voted with their beliefs instead of their fears. Manchin is voting based on fear too he just happens to be smack in the middle of Trump country. I like that Romney is not afraid to speak out. Its not about agreeing with him its about respecting his right to his own opinion.

That's the problem though....with ALL politicians.
Their OWN opinions SHOULD NOT MATTER.
They are elected to represent their constituents. That's it. No more, no less.
This is everywhere on both sides of the aisle and it's definitely not limited to the United States.
ELECTED officials worry about getting elected. They'll say, do anything they think (rather what their campaign manager thinks) will get them elected. The once elected, their focus becomes getting REELECTED.

You mention Manchin - voting based on FEAR because he's in "Trump country". What? Guess what - if the majority of his constituents support things the sitting POTUS supports, then that's what he, as an ELECTED REPRESENTATIVE of those constituents, should support as well. If supporting the voters who put him in office goes against his own personal beliefs - then he needs to resign.

The MAJORITY Of all the garbage going on in the Senate is because politicians are making a CAREER (a very lucrative career in many cases) out of something designed to be a civic duty. The people who wrote the constitution never pictured someone being a member of the Senate for most of their adult lives.

Romney is still butt hurt because Trump didn't make him SOS. Manchin just tries to show good common sense.

When they vote against their constituents wishes, lots of them lose their jobs. Remember Obamacare and the devastation to the Democratic party in the next cycle, or the impeachment of Clinton and Newt Gingrich losing his job as Speaker.

You are right their opinions shouldn't matter now that I think of it. Only those of the constituents. I guess what I was trying to say is they are only voting in a way that is best for their political careers survival that is what I meant when I used the term of fear. And yes that is true everywhere I wasn't singling out the US it is just the topic at hand. It is certainly true here in Canada too. We are becoming much more divisive as well.

LOL I should stay out of this I agree but it's entertaining for us to watch up here. Hell you guys had fun with our crack smoking Toronto mayor for a while.......... until he croaked at least :) But yes we have plenty of problems too of course. So I will take your advice and avoid further comment.

I'll refrain Elvis you were very kind and helpful when I went from a Camaro to a Mustang.....
It all good. ..hope you are enjoying that mustang .. it's just upsetting the guys trying to do his job as a president. but the whole entire time.. other parties in play try to cut him down any chance they get to take back control because they don't have a chance at winning against him..shows that our country is not strong and is the sign of weakness.. that pisses me off! This impeachment is not going to make this country stronger ...it's gonna make things worse. I get it Obama was a likable guy and I gave him my support while he was president .. even though Obamacare was complete failure and a lie..Trump might not be a likeable guy and suffers from foot and mouth disease, but he's making a lot of things happen . positive things that needed to happen.more jobs instead of just giving our country away to immigrants. And sucking up our resources. I have no problems with immigrants as long as they do their part to become a citizen and be productive for this country.
