There is one major problem with many climate scientists - and it's not just climate scientists that have this issue. It's any scientist / research program tied to grants for salaries and funding. A scientist or team of scientists are paid to find out whether X=Y. Here's the rub. If those scientists find out that X does not equal Y - then they lose their funding / grants. That's a very simplified overview - but it holds true a good bit of the time.

The other problem is that many of the latest studies are based on FLAWED mathematical models.

Let's take a recent study - one that was quoted and linked by a lot of major media outlets

An independent scientist read the study and found out that the study was based on FLAWED math.

This finding was later confirmed by University of Colorado professor, Roger Pike, Jr. The CORE MATH that the entire premise of their study was based on - was WRONG. It happens in science. But when scientist becomes married to politics and PR - it stops being science.

That's just ONE example.

Or we could take James Hansen. The former NASA scientist that testified before Congress in 1988. You know - the hearing organized and pushed by Al Gore? The same topic that made him rich? Hansen is considered by many to be the "Father of Global Warming."

Turns out Gore took the worse case scenario data that Hansen was advised to present to Congress (he presented multiple scenarios - some that didn't reflect realistic events - such as Scenario B - the one Gore RAN WITH).

Hansen has since stated - over and over - that the data Gore used for his Global Warming campaign were NOT Realistic and did NOT reflect realistic climate data. The scenarios / models presented by GORE - which pretty much started the mainstream global warming push 30 YEARS AGO - is garbage.

Yes. My son said one of the hardest part of getting his PhD was finding studies to build upon because he kept finding those kinds of flaws. A real eye opener.

I agree that science is the hard truth. And I always think about that movie Unbreakable with Bruce Willis where Samuel L. Jackson thinks he is doing good by killing people so that "super heroes" will be revealed. We have direct evidence that a lot of people have exaggerated and outright lied - heck, even falsified data - because they think they are doing the right thing with respect to so called global warming. The link I posted above had some of that information available in it.

It is always evil and wrong to present false data. That is what I would say to those who are advocating with any sort of certainty that human affected climate change is occurring. Most of the models that predict increasing temperatures have incorrect physical constants in them. And those models have been chosen over the more accurate models because people have some sort of vested interest in lying about climate change. For many it's money or power, some are just trying to "do good". But they are all failing the human race.

Hundreds of thousands of verified reports have been reported. Don't cherry pick and I won't.

I have bear wardens in Alaska, Peruvian mountain rangers and other world individuals I keep in touch with. The facts are there. You just have to open your eyes man.

But like you said it is disgusting to present false evidence and that is exactly what anti-climate change folks are doing.

It's not a singular issue with a number. It's an abstract overall impact that needs to be changed or we're fucked. Not like it matters for folks like me and older. We'll be dead but for others in their 20's and younger. They will see the resource wars. Shit we're running out of water here in Cali.

If you can go back 10 years and show me a climate model from that time period or before with a prediction that has since come true I will look deeper and consider that that particular analysis might be correct. I need to see something that is more than a theory with no evidence behind it. And it needs to be ratified by actual occurrences that happened after the prediction.

What I have seen over and over is people yelling that the sky is falling and they are ALWAYS WRONG! People have been spouting this madness for many years. Can you really blame us for realizing that it's always a lie? How many times do you think you can fool people?

Oh, and the other thing about this climate change craziness is that it's obviously a political ploy. If it were scientific we would have definitive goals and once we reached those goals we would be done. But that isn't the case. What the climate change advocates want is continually more and more. It's just like every other left wing spending program - a black hole money pit that will never be filled.
