They are wringing their hands right now just thinking on how efficiently they can play Trump and his followers, and the USA in general. Just watch how it all unfolds between now and Nov 3rd.

If you construct a simple link diagram of the information we have and the sources it came from, you will find Russia only appears where there is reason for manipulation.

The entire domestic focus has been on so-called collusion (political term with political motives). Little to no public attention has been paid to Russia's influence and manipulation.

So, as you construct that link diagram, look into the dealings in Ukraine as well. Specifically, look beyond Poroshenko to Yanakovich (now in Russia) and see who supported him and his affiliates. Look also into the Turkish linkage and who supports(ed) whom there. Finally, look at Russia's misinformation campaign conducted in the U.S., to include the false stories they put out that were continually rebroadcast by major news outlets and public leaders.

Bottom line, Russia did not expose anything. They manipulated the American public (and leaders) and are continuing to do so. All the while, the public (and our leaders) are thanking and befriending them as if we suddenly have something in common.

The starting and ending point should be an assessment of Russia's strategic interests--#1 among them being dividing the West and the U.S. in particular.

That's right ... Russia's goal is to divide and weaken this country like it's never been before, and Trump is doing a fine job at doing it. Putin is very pleased of his puppetry skills. And the weaker the US becomes, the more easily Russia, China, N. Korea, etc can manipulate this country. I wouldn't put it past Russia, China and N. Korea to collaborate and be the new Axis of Evil.
