I come from a Ford family..grandpa, dad, me.. didn't even think about getting a Camaro. Drove Crown Vics, F-150, 250, Fiesta, Escort and Granada in Europe. I am a Ford guy I guess.
Granada Cosworth is still my favorite of all the fords I have owned. My first non-beater/scrapyard candidate. :) All the creature comforts of a Ghia with a "blistering" 195hp!!!

290 bhp and four wheel drive in a 2800 lb car :sunglasses:

I bought it in 96 and for the time it was quite a fast and reasonably rare car :like:

I know that I'm totally prejudiced but I've loved every Ford I ever owned and I didn't like the few GM products I've owned other than my 2009 HD Sierra Z71.

Mustangs sound way better.

Mustangs look way better.

Mustangs are more comfortable.

Mustangs don't give me that 'in a cave' feel.

I also really like my local Ford dealer and am NOT a fan of my local Chevrolet dealer.

Besides... We all know that FORD really stands for First On Race Day.....

Having said all that, the new Corvettes have REALLY caught my eye.... The Lamborghini look is very appealing.

If you consider the EV Federal incentive (offered to all EV manufacturers BTW) a bailout, you would be wrong. Tesla was not 'bailed out like GM & Chrysler.
Tesla is only here because of tax payer moneys.
Without it they have folded long ago.
Selling emission credits, , fed grants, etc over and above handing buyers money to buy those pyles

I didn't get a Camaro, because What I wanted was not avail. or anything like it to test drive.
And that my wife, even though she said, get whatever one you want. (read into that what you may, I did. lol)She liked both cars, but likes the mustang better.
So, If I in a few years I go insane and buy a c8 z51.
I can just hand her the keys to the stang and maybe limit my time in the dog house.

Ew, I HATE the new corvette for that reason. The corvette should scream American muscle, not be confused for some European supercar. If that’s the look I wanted I’d be shopping for a European supercar. Reminds me of the cobalt ss/focus rs for people that couldn’t afford a real sports car. Ugh, this is disgusting….

The interior is really cool too and I like how driver centric everything is positioned. The camera rearview mirror is also something I found cool.

For me I had both mustang and camaro ,even both at the same time .great cars both of them, for longer trips definitely recommend the mustang, it's a bit more comfortable and has the larger trunk opening.

Mine was a J reg as well, J338 OBM, thats how much I liked that car I still remember the reg. You couldn't keep a sierra cosworth in Manchester for love nor money, they spent more time stolen than with their owners. The Granada cosworth was low key, small 24v badge on rear, only when you popped the bonnet did you see the cosworh logo on the cylinder head.

Mine survived outside on a Manchester postcode whilst I lived at my parents and when I stayed over at my GF's (also Manchester).

I only had one theft attempt during that time - It was well planned and I know I was lucky ... :like:

I swear blind that Cosworth's were mostly responsible for two things in the UK, A) the rapid advancement of aftermarket car security and B) rapidly escalating insurance premiums ... lol

I had near £1K of Clifford stuff looking after mine + a disklock + a few other tricks - that was a lot of money on security BITD :like:

I wanted a Camaro after having 2 Mustangs already. However I got a crazy lucky find on my Mustang. Dealer was selling it new for 33k. Sat on their lot for year without selling in Northfield, MN. I traded in my 16 Focus ST. So I had a brand new 2017 in June of 2018. Besides, I love the sound of the Coyote. There is nothing like it.

Yeah, I really liked the looks of the 1st, 2nd, 4th and some of the 5th gen much better. Too bad they didn't do something like Dodge did with the Challenger and made it more retro looking. With that engine and drivetrain on a better designed and looking body, they would have destroyed Ford and Dodge in the muscle car wars instead of finishing in a distant 3rd this past gen.
