Basically got the stage 2 kit with fans and OPG and Crank gear.

Do i need anything else?

How do i specify the 3.625 gear?

I am going to need a clutch soon right?

What about exhaust?

Am I not going to blow out my cats with this much power?

Trying to order this before the sale ends.

Don't worry about the clutch for now mine was good when I took it out and would have lasted much longer I'm sure but I had the engine out so I did it. Many other are still on the stock clutch so move from there for now. When you place the order just call lethal and ask them to change the pulley size its free. You don't need any exhaust upgrades to take advantage of the Whipple it's only for sound, and long tubes are just too load in my opinion for most street cars.

Everything Shawn said above........

Plus, are you considering an upgraded damper? Your going to have your stock one off for the gears install.

MMR damper 'install' bolt whether you get a new damper or not plus a new ARP damper bolt again regardless of whatever damper you go with.

CONSIDER the MMR secondary chain tensioner upgrade since you will have the engine cover off as well as upgraded primary tensioners.

I've had my Whipple for a year now and I'm still on my stock clutch with heavy road course use. I don't do 1/4 mile runs so that helps my clutch. I'm also on stock headers and cats.

There is plenty more to make sure you have everything for the install but not referring to any large items.

Well crap how serious are the tensioners, this is the first i have heard about them.

I just pulled the trigger not 5 minutes ago, do i need to call them and edit my order?

No the secondary chain tensioner mod is not a lethal part it's from MMR. It basically puts the tensioner in a better spot to control chain slack on the drivers side only. It's not a must by any means, but not expensive and nice to do while you have the cover and chains off to do the gears. Also its cheap and worthy to upgrade the primary tensioners to the Boss units as they have better control of the timing chains at higher RPM but also are not needed. These are good cheap things to upgrade while your there is all.

This is my daily driver and my only car, would you consider it a reliability upgrade?

no you don't need the tensioners unless its going live at 8000rpm...
i recommend the ati balancer though

They are on my motor which is a daily driver. No reason why they would not be reliable. The Boss tensioners are FORD OE tensioners used on the Boss mustang motor and were considered better to handle higher rpm without loosing pump as they can retain higher pressures. The MMR mod for the secondary timing chain tensioner is basically just a bracket that allows the tensioner on that side to be mounted 180 degrees so it better controls chain slack at higher RPM. I've heard of no failures of these parts or adding them.

I am a short shifter actually i almost never go near 7k, if this is an rpm thing i won't worry about it since i will be shifting at 7k worst case.

Not that I'm trying to sell these parts to you, but with the added power of the Whipple the rpm sweeps very fast, and with loss of traction your in the ooops I never was gonna go past 7k.:eyebulge:

I'm not sure its correct to say the Boss tensioners aren't making a difference unless you exceeding 8k rpm.

There are primary, secondary boss tensioners, as well as the MMR billet piece. You guys recommend all 3?

My understanding is the primary tensioners Boss 302R M-6266-M50B are upgraded and used on the 2013 Cobra jet for better control at higher RPM. However when I research for the secondary timing chain tensioners the only ones who list them as Boss 302 R was MMR all other vendors and even Ford said it was the same part and tensioner that's on our cars now and there was no higher grade secondary tensioner.

EDIT: also many of these where advertised saying replaces both primary and secondary tensioners. I called Ford Auto nation White bear lake on this and they checked and called Ford Racing and said there wer many miss prints when advertising and said it only the primary tensioners.
