All the info has been provided by Shawn there. Like I said before just consider them.....the primary tensioners are a nice upgrade and the mmr secondary chain tensioner as well. By no means are they necessary but they are a benefit especially for what you are adding power wise, why not? They aren't that expensive. The stock secondary tensioners are already good. IF you get the upgraded tensioner also don't forget to add the ARP bolts that go with it as they are longer than stock. They are also sold my mmr.

Dustin (Whipple) said the stock damper is ok for mostly street use. Get the ARP bolt though.

True...told me the same, but while your there, why put on an damper that's not rated for torsonail vibration dampening past the stock power level and rpm limit. It may live beyond it with the Whipple, but the ATI is rated way above and beyond the stock damper.

I feel ya, but I trust Dustin would recommend the upgrade if he felt the part was a weak link. Not sure if mine is any different (Boss) but as you know the road runner was made to rev high. By no means am I against running the ATI.

What is the MMR head cooling mod in your signature? Did you add that because of the supercharger?

Yeah but everything within reason and chance. I was also told that I shouldn't need worry about OPG failure on a street car, and guess what. Not saying OPG failures happened often but it did for me.

It helps with rear head cross cooling and cyl 8 cooling.

Stage 2 Whipple here, on stock clutch and exhaust (minus resonator) all is holding well so far.

I did the opg, cs, and ATI damper right before I started my Whipple install. Haven't had any issues and don't feel that the tensioners are a necessary upgrade but if you want to do it all at once and have the funds by all means you're not going to hurt anything by doing them.

As far as the MMR head cooling mod, me and all my coyote buddies feel it isn't needed on the coyote motors. MMR makes some good stuff but they also make some products that are "solutions" for problems that don't really exist. If you really want to keep #8 cylinder cool just run the #yolodb cylinder 8 delete tune.

I still haven't found any links to the ATI damper or the ARP bolts.

Note to self...if I see a Ruby Red on 20" Foundry's in the rear view on 288, promptly move right one lane and wave him on by. I don't want no problems with that Whipple!

Congrats!

You know you're probably the reason why i picked this color, i always kept seeing a ruby red s550 coming up 288 in the sunlight and I just had to have one, love the depth of Ruby

I had a 2011 kona blue before and the lighter blue this go around just wasn't doing it for me.

I ordered the ARP bolt but left everything else alone, I can't get that ATI damper and loose A/C and if Whipple says the stock tensioners are good for street then i am OK with that.

You can get an ATI with A/C pulley. That's the way almost 100% of us that have them are.
