Drivers side is the clean air side, is not pcv controlled and usually takes air in. Not to say air flow can’t be reversed especially if you are boosted. I had a clean side upr separator that was tied into the complete catch can setup they make so I never had evidence of oil blow by.

It should automatically see the hswm if it is connected correctly. Contact forscan and let them know you added the hswm and they may have an update for you which also could be the cause.
There is a bracket that works for the hswm but not sure 15-17 has a spot to mount it correctly in the dash support. Mine was strapped and Velcro’d in the location near where the 18 and up mount theirs and without the bracket.

Shims can be easily added to the transmission cross member mount to lower the angle. You can also raise depending on the angle you’re going after with the trans mount to cross member.
