I have a quick question for ya’ll. Im putting on the whipple stage 2 kit, i plan on running it as is with no intentions of running a smaller pulley or increasing the boost in anyway later down the road. I want to know what other supporting mods i should do outside the kit itself. Upgraded radiator? Oil cooler? Fuel pump booster? Plugs? New coil packs? Etc etc (Order of importance would be awesome)

Kit runs great out of the box. If you’re looking for more, I think I would approach it like this:
1. Colder thermostat
2. 1 size smaller pulley (only if 93 is used)
3. Exhaust (cat back, lt’s, etc)
4. Aftermarket tune (not for the power, but for the transmission strategy)

If you are using the Whipple kit with the Whipple tune and the 3.75 pulley on pump gas, all you need to worry about are tires (wider/stickier) and suspension reinforcement to help put the power down (and clutch if you have a manual). The same "stop the hop" hardware that is recommended for NA cars still applies for FI cars, and I would also recommend doing half shafts if you are planning on drag racing. Crank sprocket and OPGs are generally reocmmended as well but a lot of people run without them (myself included).

I have the steeda stop the hop on and the ford performance track handling pack on, running the pilot super sport tires right now and wondering if they will hook at all

I have PSSes on mine and they do ok, probably about as well as a street tire could ever do.

I might stick with them, at least up front

Anyone felt the need to upgrade the radiator?

Stage 2 kit with the upgraded HE running the whipple tune. My car is an auto so I feel no need for halfshafts. I had 305 MT sport comp summer tires but they are shit, so I upgraded to Nitto 555R drag radials for a daily tire. Normal suspension mods apply as others have said. I have the BMR stuff. I love the whipple upgrade. Their kit comes literally with everything except coolant!!! LOL 650 or whatever to the wheel with the auto trans is plenty for the fun factor. I dont give a shit about bigger better faster, so adding more boost is not needed for my needs. I did NOT do OPG and am not worried one bit. I use the paddle shifters a lot which gives you so much more control over rpm and spin. LOL

Whipple's largest US distributor checking in!!!

If you go with the Stage 2 kit from Whipple that's really all you need to get up and running. Their kit is complete so you don't need any additional fuel mods to help support the power the car will make with it. Their kit comes with plugs so that's also something you won't need to source separately.

The most important things to look at upgrading would be the halfshafts, clutch and shifter (if it's a manual car) and some suspension pieces.

Other than that you're good to go with how the kit is delivered from Whipple.

Let us know if there's anything else we can help you with in the meantime.

Thanks!
