I have and prefer the GT350 sill. For me, FORD PERFORMANCE is too generic.

I like he GT350 sill plate, but would only want it if it had the chassis number on it.

I prefer the original, which is what is on my car. I didn't realize the newer ones were switched to Ford Performance.

I've had both. The FP has a cleaner look to it. Allot going on with the 350 sill.

I have and prefer the original. New one looks like something they can just use in all the other ford performance vehicles.

You know it was modeled after some of the ID plates on the early Shelby cars, yes?
Actually I didn't, no. I don't mind the design, I just don't care for the no shit sherlock info like "Engine: FIVE POINT DEUCE BITCHES!"

Agreed with that for sure. I think if it had simply said "GT350" in silver proper script it would have been awesome. Could have even had the "R" added for R models and done the letter R in red which would have been a badass touch IMO and not too over the top.

Agree the "Ford Performance" is too generic; IMO it doesn't have the cache that "AMG" or "BMW //M" does when you see their sill plates.

Bumping an old thread ... I much prefer the older-style sill plate, as the newer style is way too generic and the bright red clashes, IMHO, with the lighting blue on my new GT350. However the price difference between the two styles is ridiculous ...

Old style: $508 msrp

New style: $199 msrp

I guess it's because Ford no longer makes the older ones.

EXACTLY, I priced out the earlier style right after I took delivery on my 2017...but the price Ford wants is silly-stupid! I changed out my 2016 KR sills (and those have the brushed alum trip) and they were approx. $30.00 each...
