Hey everyone,

I've been meaning to ask everyone on here about this and keep forgetting. Anyway, all the videos I see of the GT350 when they show the door sill plates they say Shelby and list some engine specs on them. I thought that looked awesome and was excited to see them in person. Well fast forward to me taking delivery of my GT350 and my door sill plates both say "Ford Performance". Is this something they changed on the 2017's? I don't think it was a dealer error because the plates still had the blue protective film on them, but I could be wrong. Are anyone else's like this?

The cool looking ones that show 5.2L FPC on it are on the 2015/2016 models only. 2017+ have Ford Performance.

Thanks for the response. That's a little silly to change, but I'm sure I could find a pair off a wrecked 2016 because they look way better IMO.

Another tiny little difference between the 15/16's vs. the 17/18's would be the riveted plaque that is on the shock tower brace. 15/16's have a little more detail while the 17/18's have "Ford Performance" like the sills have. Correct me if this is wrong.

A reminder to new owners to be cautious when lifting the driver side window wiper as it will contact the hood & can chip the paint. I came across this here so wanted to pass it along.

Yeah I don’t touch my wipers unless they’re all the way up because of that.

Suggestion: Go to O'Reilly's and buy some door-edge guards. Cut off a short section and slip it over the hood edge in that area. You can either leave it in place or just slip it on when you think somebody will be messing with the wipers (aka, the dealer).

And the window stickers were changed somewhere in 2017 to more clearly delineate a registered trademark.
