Ruby is classy, refined looking, and as a darker color it looks "meaner" with the black parts of the car. With a black roof makes it look like it has a glass roof. It looks incredible in person, no photo does it justice. Race red is more race-boy, Hot Wheels looking. Without stripes and with a black roof, it can look really good. With stripes it just screams "look at me, I gotta Shelby and its a race car" (not that there's anything wrong with that).

Obviously everyone has their personal choices. To me the ruby red on the GT350 has a classy, rich look. The paint looks wet & deep. The car also looks stealthy mean. I actually like it better without stripes, which bugs a lot of Shelby guys because they say a Shelby has to have stripes. I don't dislike the race red, I just like ruby better.

I will agree the ruby red doesn't photo well, but neither does the race red or the Triple yellow.

So..... I'm ordering up my GT350 here in the next couple of days and, I can't decide which red I want. I really like the race red, but the ruby red looks pretty sweet too.
Anyone have some high def photos of both? Next to each other would be nice, but separate is fine. I just can't find a pic of a ruby red GT350 in the wild.

I originally ordered ruby but switched to race red. 110% happy.

I know I would have regretted not getting race red.

Dealer says its the best looking 350 theyve received to date. The big black spoiler, roof, and side ports look awesome against the red..

I'm obviously biased but Race Red stands out so much. I love Ruby Red too and if it was available for 2016 I would have gotten it but I'm so happy I didn't. Once I saw Ruby Red in person and compared it to my Race Red in person I'm so happy it wasn't an option at the time or else I'd be lusting after Race Red. Don't get me wrong though, Ruby Red looks gorgeous too. It's definitely my 2nd favorite color I've seen.

PS: Everybody knows, Race Red is the fastest color.

Here it is freshly waxed and shiny.

Here it is after about 200 miles of backroads and wheels full of brake dust.

Yes. Beautiful machine. My GT500 had stripes. Never again. My first thought was race red too. I've changed my order though to Ruby Red. Just something about how it can be slightly different in different lighting that makes me like it so much. Very much how Sonic Blue was on my 03 cobra.

Ruby Red is very beautiful, and I've seen it in person. However, I've only ever seen 1 other race red mustang around the area, and it was like love at first sight.

Just took delivery of my '17 race red GT350 last Friday and I have to say that this is like medicine to the eyes. I mean it really does stand out much more than just about any other color out there. Looks great in person, in pictures, everywhere. Here's mine:
