I have a 1" lowered PP1 with slightly shorter tires then stock and store it under it under mine as close to the center of the car as I can. The lowest part ot the car is the front K member and it clears with about .75" to spare.

And then you just slide them outboard and into position when you want to use them?

Yes because I use a fastened wheel stop the car is always in the same parking position, so all I have to do is move them out to the correct position, install the rubber lifting block and up it goes. I want it easy because I am to lazy to work too hard.

I assume no one would work underneath a car on a quick jack without additional jack stands?
Why? And there's no room to put additional jacks anywhere. I guess you missed the part where the product has locking tabs?

1143172-twin-busch-s3-10e-scissor-lift.html ... I didn't know it was built in China. I reckon, as a Mech. Design Eng. it doesn't matter where it is built, but how it's designed, and whether it is built to specification.
You clearly have NO idea how Chinese operate...

I'm not saying it's a bad lift nor that the Germans aren't demanding and *enforcing* material selection and quality construction of every unit built and shipped with their branding as opposed to all the other "knockoffs".

These look familiar?

I assume no one would work underneath a car on a quick jack without additional jack stands? I went a different direction.
Because ? I've spent hours underneath my car on a Quickjack with no jackstands.

My brother in law has one of those, and I really like it. About a year before I bought my quick jack a local used equipment seller had about a dozen of them that they acquired from a tire store chain. He cleaned them up and resold them. I was about a day late. I kept checking back with him and finally found my quick jack from a guy who was moving across country. I pick mine up for 600 bucks.

I've been using one of these since 2008:

https://www.ezcarlift.com/index.html

Made in the USA, by the way. Website is hoaky but the product is first-rate. And, because it's mechanical gear driven, it's inherently fail-safe. It stops moving when you stop moving it and it can't move again until you start moving it again. Oh, and the other thing - it goes straight up and down without any forward - backward movement as it rises and descends. That matters in a confined space.
