oops yes I feel stupid now, thanks. The fender and hood are Al, and just the rocker is plastic, or is the rocker aluminum too? Seems strange to just have one small piece ABS plastic, or is Muligan wrong about that?
Wow, not only that, I checked it with a magnet and the hood, front fenders and door sill from front to back are plastic. Roof pillars, roof, rear quarter, and trunk lid are metal. I assumed the sill, front fender and hood were all metal.
It was impossible to get a pic of the dimples so I ballparked the location (might be a little higher). I'm pretty sure there was no padding on the lift arms. Something was definitely weakened by the weight of the car.
Nope those are fresh from yesterday. I paid close attention to that area because just about 12" above that point, another dealer put a couple of nice little dents in my quarter panel that I had them remove. The only thing that could have caused those dimples was the visit to the dealer after...
I noticed a couple of new dents (more like dimples) in the body after my car was lifted for the first time on the pinch welds at the dealer. I also found the exact same dents, same location and depth, on another GT350. Mine's been lifted before with a drive-on lift and that produced no dents...
FWIW, I got it done at Apple Ford yesterday. They did the job right, and they also found 4 screws were missing from my splitter install at the original dealership but charged me $16 for the friggin' screws. They say they've done about 12 or so recall oil hose installs. It took about 3 hours...
The pavement, particularly in Arizona, picks up a lot of radiant heat which is absorbed by your undercarriage. The convective heat loss is scrubbed from the road by airflow but the radiant heat will be absorbed directly into your vehicle. Blacktop will be worse for radiant load. Parts closer...
I called the local Apple Ford dealership and they said "we've done a bunch" of the oil cooler tube recalls. Just wondering if anyone on the forum had theirs done there and how it went.
Can someone explain why the manufacturers don't offer custom paint at a custom price? If they sell vinyl stripes at a ridiculous price, they can surely offer paint at a ridiculous price and a lot of people will be stupid enough to bite if they can have a one-of-a-kind factory painted vehicle.
