You don't need to spend tons ... I've got 2 of these in different vehicles. I tapped into the rear of the mirror after getting a 12v to 5v conversion box (also on Amazon somewhere). Starts and stops when the car does and loops over itself when the SD card is full. It's all you need.

I took your advice and got the same unit except mine has the rear view camera. On the rear view mirror, do you recall the pinout for +12v and -12V? I could get the meter out, but figured Id ask since you might already have the info.

Thanks

I have the Rexing 1080p and I really like it. Very low profile, 170 degree view. I move it between 4 cars and in my GT350 I have hidden all wires in the headliner and down the passenger side A piller right into the fuse box in the passenger side foot well. It is attached to a switched power fuse using an "add a circuit". It goes on and off with the engine.

Are there any harnesses or splices that are just plug and play without cutting wires

I would tap, not cut. To answer your question, I don't know

My terminology is bad I know. I've spent a week in DC, this town must be screwing with me.

I was going to tap into the mirror power anyway for my radar detector, will just run some wires and try to tuck them into the seams around the dash and pillar.
