My car has 500 miles on it, got letter in mail and took it to the dealership today. They replaced the TB no questions asked, took about an hour. Never experienced any issues before replacing.
So if you order a new kit will it come with the slimmer/slotted version brackets?
I want to order a set but I don't want to have to test for the old brackets then call for the new style. I want to open up the box and install it once without dragging this out for 2 weeks.
I read in another thread the bolts are used during the cars assembly line process and are not needed once finished but they don't remove them. Not sure if that's been confirmed.
So let me get this straight.....if you have an FSB for the throttle body on your cars vin, but it's running fine then all they do is flash the computer.....they don't change the throttle body with a newer version?
I think the seam sealer that runs the entire length of the pinch weld is what makes them angle some. I imagine they are all like this. I have set of these on my car and they bolted up fine. I have only used them once for tire/wheel swap but I lifted entire side from middle with no issues.
I have the FSA message on my owner account today, guess I'll schedule an appointment before it breaks down. Just bought this car 6 weeks ago for my son, never had to take a car in for engine work before I got my plates. Hope this isn't an indication of problems to come.
