Well one thing the C8 and GT500 have in common- late start for 2021 models! At least they are coming off the line and people are getting their dream cars. Just another thing for 2020!
How many S550's have you seen though? I really don't see a lot of C8's yet though, but I know they are coming. The difference with this model is it's something very unique and special.. the C8 gets so much attention from EVERYONE. My R gets attention from the few that know what it is. I...
Just to be clear, I have a GT350R and not a GT500 although I've driven one and thought long and hard as to whether I wanted it or the C8. The C8 won out, especially since I plan to keep my GT350R long term.
The C8 is insanely nice and comfortable for the price and it's definitely my first...
I bought my C8 for MSRP and only had to call one dealer. Most if not all the large dealers have sold their new C8's at MSRP. The only people paying ADM are the ones buying from small dealers or the ones that didn't order their cars like everyone else or the guys buying used. If you "have to...
I added the RED car yesterday to my collection! I thought the 10+ months was long for my R order, well I ordered my C8 in early July 2019, for a total of almost 17 months on order! I got one of the very last 2020 C8's out of the factory in bowling green. They literally started the 2021 model...
Not to be funny about your question, but if you have to ask and are looking at it the way you are.. I'd say keep what you have and be happy with it.
For me, after I bought my GT350 (2017) and drove it several months I fell in love with every aspect of the car.. so much, that getting an R for...
As a Lightning Blue owner I would order blue/white again in a heartbeat.. but it would be very tough to decide between Performance Blue and Velocity Blue if I was ordering a 2020 model. I think both look great!
phew, well now I feel better... that quote about made me not want to ever track my car... LOL. This is better. The worst part is still the $7K deductible, but at least I'll have coverage from a catastrophe.
Anyone else going to the "Track night in America" in Sebring on the 12th?
I bought a GT350 because the markups on the R were absolutely crazy around me (Florida) in 2017 and no matter how many dealers I called (50+) I couldn't stomach the markups they required ($10K-$20K at most places).. and when I did find the lower markups, it was never the color combo I wanted...
Posting this here in the main area so those that are signed up for the 2nd day school make sure they do everything they can to make it out!! :)
I am going very soon for my second round of Track Attack School (went once for my GT350, 2nd time for my R) and I was told by the School that they...
I was told by FPRS that they are phasing out the Boss 302's.. once they make the move to North Carolina, there will be no more full-on race cars like the BOSS available for rent! So those that are scheduled in the last sessions in Utah will be the last ones to run the Boss 302's. According to...
I also did PPF on this and added the rear black trim piece between the tail lights (seemed to get scratched with use on my GT350 so I wrapped it with my R and glad I did)... total was about $3K for my PPF.
The worst part about this, especially if you decide to pay the $10K for the painted stripes- You'll still get the same old garbage thin-paint like we got on the GT350.
I still love my R and this confirms in every way that it will be an absolute long term keeper.
In terms of price/bang for the buck, if someone is looking for an all-out screamer to compete with the hellcat redeye, I'd honestly rather have the non-carbon optioned GT500 over the Dodge though. :)
