@NoVaGT I think would consider selling his PP1 wheels. Unless you go to the track there's no need for the 6-pot brembo nor the radiator. All of these parts can be sourced easily - if you want black/red calipers you're going to have to order them anyway - default is this nasty textured gray. If you want PP1 suspension, you can have mine for free. I've got NIB wheel sets that need to go and several sets of barely used PS4S tires. The PP1 package is a LOUSY deal at 5 grand (MY20) let alone 6 grand (MY21).

I haven't even upgraded the pads on my '19 GT base 4 pot brakes.......unless you're on the track or autcrossing, I can't imagine being such a bad driver you can't stop in time with the stock base GT brakes. The stock 2 pot EB / V6 brakes are another matter. Upgrading to 4 pots on my '17 3.7 Mustang was a HUGE upgrade for low $ outlay.

Not to mention the D4 MT82 NEEDS deeper gears than 3.73 to even compare to the 15-17 PP1 setup. 19" wheels / tires, 3.55 gears and the D4 MT82 is almost under 2K RPM at 75mph. That's ridiculous.

Want to see a REAL difference in a base GT / EB suspension? Add 19x10 wheels, 19" tires, install the Steeda IRS rear subframe support braces and the 2 point Steeda G-Trac front brace and enjoy. Aesthetics (ride height) aside, if that suspension setup is "too soft" for you, you need to learn how to drive or you're autocrossing / doing track days or you simply love a stiff ride. (No comment). Right now I can comfortably take off / on ramps at speeds that would likely land me in jail or without a license........

Personally I added the PP1 spoiler (found a cheap take off and sprayed it to match my car) because I like it. I'm not a fan of having a non-square wheel / tire setup, both those are just personal preferences.

It's your money / your time. Find what YOU want at a price YOU can afford, and ignore everything else.

The market is hosed right now. A new '20 I was looking at close to me has jumped $2K in price since the last week of April. $500 that was rebate change - the rest is simply them pricing to the market and that price is still cheaper than most cars / prices I've been seeing posted in this thread.

I bought a brand new 2019 GT Premium 6MT from Koons in August 2019 with stiff discount from sticker. I think you can do better pricing wise if you're flexible on options, and even a new one. The discount made up a loss from selling a 2019 Ecoboost Premium 6MT.
There is a huge difference between August 2019 and today. It's a sellers market and dealers believe they are doing you a favor by selling you a car. Add that to the shriveling inventory and it make for a very difficult situation.

You might....like....want to read this entire thread. The days of deep discounts are loooooong gone.

Koons is doing $1500 off right now, which is chump-change for them.

except for whatever reason Lindsay Wheaton. 11% off MSRP for MY21 cars, it was 13% for a couple weeks up till Wed. So something it 'off' with their sales department. Even Ted Britt is getting in on the action to not discount squat. Battlefield Ford was adding ADM to all their Mustangs, even base models.

Yup. The market working like it should - like it or not. It's ironic. People crowing about the great trade in prices they are getting, then realizing it's evening out with the prices most dealers are charging for new / used vehicles.

My dealer's General manager - I texted him yesterday...

"If I want to order a new '21 GT - yes I know it'll likely be late Summer before delivery, 4% under invoice - rebates still good?"

His reply was yes.

We then had a text conversation. He told me used prices were so bad, he's telling his user car manager to throttle back the auction acquisitions.

my local motorcycle dealers, BIG dealers, aren't even buying auctions anymore, all new bikes and trade ins. auction prices are same price as new bikes.

Yeah - I haven't owned a bike in a while. When I get the itch, there are several guys I know who let me ride one of theirs no questions asked - since they started riding because of me basically.

One of them couldn't even change his own oil when we started hanging out. Now he buy 3-5 used sport bikes over the Winter and fixes them / tunes them up and sells them for a profit come Spring. I talked to him the other day and he said he listed one of his bikes for about $1500 more than he thought it was worth on FB marketplace. It sold for $250 less than that in a day and the guy who came with the buyer asked about another bike that was sitting in my buddy's shop.

He's slowly getting the older Sportbike bug though (my fault). He picked up a SWEET Honda Superhawk and it's sitting in his shop. He knows I have a soft sport for those (owned more than a few) and he keeps texting me the picture of it. His spare ride is a nicely redone older ZX-11.

‘60’s-70’s CB SuperHawk or late 90’s early 2000’s VTR SuperHawk?

I had a 99 with custom mid pipes to raise the D&D cans tucked up nicely under the tail. Sounded awesome. Aged out of sport bikes so gave it to my wife when I bought a BMW RT. Haven’t really ridden my personal bikes in the last few years so started selling them off. Sold my last one yesterday but would buy a SuperHawk if given a chance on a good deal just for old times sake. I miss that bike.

Alright, so here is the moment you all have been waiting for - Last week i pulled the trigger on a 2021 Carbonized Gray GT, 301a, 6M, AE from Koons Silver Spring. I was very close to buying the same car, but with the black accent package from Lindsay in Wheaton. LIndsay was good to work with, but Koons was better. They came down to 35,800 from the MSRP of 40,210. They also did the entire transaction remote with me being in NY and them in MD. They did not try to sneak in any additions costs into the price. They were straight with me and professional the entire time.

Anyway, they car shipped up to me and arrived on Wednesday morning. Prior to it shipping to me, @shogun32 was kind enough to stop by Koons and load the PP1 wheels that I bought off of @NoVaGT into the back seat. Those two guys are great and were really helpful and easy to work with.

The car is awesome and so much fun to drive. I think i'm obsessed with it. Near term plans are to swap the badges to black ones and then throw some tires onto the PP1 wheels and get them on the car. After i drive it a bit more and get to know the car i would like to start upgrading the suspension. I'm sure i will seek your input on which direction to go with the upgrades.

Thanks again for the input in this thread. It was long and painful, but i'm happy with the result.

Just curious, what did Koons charge for shipping?
