I went 22 PP1, manual trans. Added a G3 120mm. So far so good but I'm not racing or 8K shifts on the daily or anything like that. I just wanted more power and always wanted a SC vehicle. I don't have issues with the gearing, but again is daily driver for the nice weather. I would def do headers with it. My cats look bruised from the heat after 3k miles boosted. Still holding but next spring when it comes out of storage Ill need to change them. My clutch still good and theres quite a few people that have beat the hell out the MT82 and has been ok, same with the A10. But theres others where it lasts a weekend lol.
The auto 6 is more robust and the gearing is preferred for more power. Your choices are probably more dependent on what WHP you're going for. I'm at 650WHP and have been good. YMMV
