Better act fast. I just talked to the guy I’ve been working with at Sheehy and all mustangs are going up to MSRP starting Friday.
heh, nothing like a pressure tactic. I would counter with "if I buy today I'm gonna need another 3% off. Tomorrow it'll be 4%, and by Friday 5%." Now don't you want to give me a deal right now?"

Which Sheehy branch are you dealing with?

I was just talking to him because I priced out a build that had the specs I would want. In that conversation he said that he could apply all of the rebates up until Friday because Sheehy is pulling back all the rebates on mustangs this weekend.

I think he's being a little loose with the truth. The current rebates EXPIRE on 4/30 or 5/3. We don't know what the next batch of rebates will be, if any.

Forget about the dealership, buy mine. 51k and still running strong. Already replaced the fuel pump so u don't have to worry about that. 😜 it's a little older but u know what they say about older models...

I’ve been to the Richmond Sheehy a few times. The last time a couple of months ago I wanted to test drive and order a Mach 1. Pulled up right beside a FJG one, said I wanted to test drive it. He said only if you agree to pay $2500 over MSRP. That pissed me off, especially since I had talked with the salesman about doing all this on the phone. My opinion on what GT to buy is bite the bullet and get what you want. Over the life of the loan it won’t be that much and you won’t be regretting it later.

Do mustangs typically have rebates on them?

I put some feelers out about my 2017 GT Premium. I have added FPTP and FP Borla exhaust. Vroom and Carvana and Carmax offered me good or great deals. Plus I have had dealers calling me also. I wanted to see if all of this was real so I went to a local Ford dealership and within 20 minutes I was offered my full asking price. They would’ve cut me a check on site if I had my title available.

Depends on the time of year. When I got mine in March of 2020, there was a $1000 rebate.

As far as the whole AE debate, AE is great, but the stock exhaust sounds good too. It's just on the quiet side permanently. It's somewhere between quiet and normal on the AE. I had no real complaints about it at all, other than the volume. I wouldn't let that feature alone hang up purchasing a car. There are always aftermarket solutions if you absolutely need it to not piss off neighbors.

IMO 300A cars used to be amazing deals, but with the pricing now it's silly not to get 301A or 400A if you have to pay that much anyway.

If you go Carmax, rip out every aftermarket part you can for resale if it's economical. Otherwise they will literally strip it and throw them all into the trash.

Having owned a 300A, 101A and 302A(F150) I say the big Sync3 display is worth it in a variety of ways vs the 4".

That said, https://www.lindsayford.com/new-Wheaton-2021-Ford-Mustang-GT-1FA6P8CF3M5119177 and you've got 10 grand to spend on precisely the upgrades you really want. Though I still haven't gotten around to installing the Sync3 retrofit in my car despite sitting on it for a year...

Rebates vary but for it's not uncommon to have 1500, 750, and 500 available all at the same time be it customer cash, regional rebate, or inventory rebates. Currently the $500 is a joke but they can get away with it since inventory is tight. If you look at Ecoboost 200/201 trims you'll find $3500 worth of rebates being offered.

I planned on upgrading mine pretty much right away, but after using it I just haven't really minded it, other than how cheap it looks compared to the 8 inch screen. It has almost all of the same features besides android auto/carplay, which I did have on my '17 GTI and I pretty much never used. As long as I have bluetooth music, I'm content. I have a pro clip mounted next to my climate vent, so if I have to navigate I just glance at my phone and listen to the audio instructions.

I do understand I'm a rarity though, for most people they're going to want 301A, especially since the package is very cheap. $2k is peanuts for what you get. The 9 speaker system is still kinda bad though.
