Looking for a dash cam I can either hardwire or plug in that works well with our dash or windshield.

Too many idiots out there. Will police be able to use the footage if there's an incident? Just looking for one that will continuos record and playback when needed.

Not ideal but I use a GoPro with suction cup mounted to the windshield. Press the record button before I begin my drive, when I reach my destination stop recording, and every few days erase the memory if nothing worthwhile is on the camera.

I just got a GRDIAN dash cam and love it so far. Great picture and audio. You can tap in to the rearview mirror and it will loop video every 2 minutes. I think it fits what you want. Have heard good things about blackvue too.

I have a dash cam in all my cars and have tried at least 8 different kinds, including a GoPro.
The camera I like best is this FalconZero brand, it has been the easiest to install and use, totally trouble free.
The GoPro cameras have a tendency to overheat when used as a dash cam.

I use a Thinkware F770 with rear camera. This thing is absolutely nuts. I have great front/rear camera picture and audio. It uses motion detection to record 30second clips while the car is parked and turned off. And It has event recording (g-force detection) to record events like wrecks/big pot holes, people bumping your car, etc....

It will do all this for days. It has a safety built in that monitors your battery voltage levels and turns it completely off if it drops below a certain level (11.2V I believe). So no dead battery from parked recordi. I've left the car for a few days and it capture events from all of the days, so it has good range.

I've been really happy with it. Great quality for video while the car is moving and great features to catch stuff while you're parked. I've caught a few fun reactions to the car while I was eating at a restaurant or seeing a movie. :)

Not to change the topic or anything, but we both have '17 GT350s with hardwired F770 setups. Can you tell me which fuses you're tapped into? My parking mode doesn't work and it's tapped into the same fuses as my F750 was on my '15 GT vert. Another person has the same issue.

+1 to this camera setup as well. I've had the F750 (as previously mentioned) and now the F770 and the quality and features are really nice. Both front and rear facing cameras.

I have the Blackvue front and rear. I bought it because a lot of the Audi guys when I had one highly recommended it. It works very well and has some useful features like the Cloud App and Live View. I find the Cloud App to work fine to view your clips, but booting them up and downloading them can take a while. Sometimes it's hit or miss. For the price though, and when the features work well, it's a very good set up.

BTW, I ordered on Amazon and got an additional $70 off for applying for their credit card. Never used the card again.

I am using the F170+ model, and planning to upgrade my GT350 to the F360.

Sure thing. Currently on a road trip, but will snag a quick peak when I can sneak it in. Will edit post with findings.

EDIT: I tapped into fuse #1 (yellow wire) and #25 (red wire. If I remember correctly, yellow wire is accessory and red is direct to battery.

You don't need to spend tons ... I've got 2 of these in different vehicles. I tapped into the rear of the mirror after getting a 12v to 5v conversion box (also on Amazon somewhere). Starts and stops when the car does and loops over itself when the SD card is full. It's all you need.

I have front & rear Street Guardian. Same profile. I originally purchased them as they were 1080p and advertised a high heat rating. I can get at the rear dash cam relatively easy but it probably won't be all that secure in the event of an accident. I may shop for the F770 or something similar that has video that can be pulled with WiFi.
