Figured the title could provide for some imaginative responses ;) Just posting data can get dry.

Ultimately I would like to take the data and characterize it. Turns out we're all Beta testers. Luckily haven't experienced limp yet :)

My normal drive home from work is about an hour, outside temperatures vary from 88 to 76 since I travel about 35miles each way. First part is stop and go traffic it was a steady rise from 150 to about 200. 2nd part of the drive is some twisties for about 20mins, I was stuck behind of line of cars so no hard driving 2nd and 3rd gear most of the way, maxed out about 233. I am using OBDII reader and the Torque app.

I am curious to see what it is when I get to drive a little harder. They just graveled my normal ride to work so probably going to be a couple weeks before I take my car over it again.
I didn't realize they were working on HWY 9 and got stuck on it right after they laid the gravel. All I could picture were thousands of chips in the paint. I'm scared to wash the car now, because I don't want to see how many chips have actually been added. Oh well, I'll just start saving now for a repaint in 10 years.

I have a track pack car, but have basically the same commute. Next time I get a good run over the hill I'll put up my numbers as a comparison.

Since I have my temperature readout working I thought I would post a data point. It was cool today around 70 F and I just putted around getting some gas and washing the car. Maybe 10 miles total driving setting the cruise on the highway for a few miles at around 70 but mostly driving at about 40 mph or so. I didn't drive the car hard at all. The trans oil temp maxed out at 176 F in those conditions. I noticed that parking the car while washing it the trans oil actually was warmer after the car was sitting for 1/2 hour or more.

I experienced the same. Heat soak from the engine/exhaust coupled with now air flow.

My drive to work this morning equaled 176f tranny temp and climbing but the drive was short. Not too warm, 18c out.

Should have a couple longer drives this week.

Same drive on the way home with a bit less traffic so I could open it up lead me to 221f in temps. 15-20 minutes. Fastest I got was 110-120km. 4th gear was the highest I went.

73 degrees out (22C)

Tell me about it, I already noticed them in front of the rear tires after that commute. Wish I would have known they laid that shit down I would have waited a couple weeks to go that direction. :frusty:

So 70-90 degree difference between Track/Tech cars that're running on track conditions (131f) to normal driving (200-220f). That's not comforting at all. Why the F*** would Ford do this?
