There is a lot of banter on this topic and my tiny brain is trying to comprehend. Anyone speak idiot on here to translate for the noob? I have a 19 bullitt. If I flick traction control off the car will let me spin the tires but keep stability on. I've seen that. I have never held the toggle up to turn off the stability. So my question is, in track mode doesn't all the stability turn off? I've done some cookies some autocross and barrel racing with it in track mode and I've never felt the car take over.
Based on my conversation with Ford, if you're on the track, just use the Sport or Track mode and don't mess with the toggle switch. In other words, tap the traction control switch for burnouts as you are doing now and don't long-hold the switch. The nannies are programmed not to interfere unless you really need it.

Oh, and of course if you have Drag Mode and/or Launch Control, those modes will also automatically disable traction control. So here again, you don't need to adjust the toggle switch once you select the desired mode.

Also, if you're on the track, you should probably leave it in Sport unless you are good enough to find that the car is faster with it off. Then move to Track. The computer really allows for a good amount of fun before reining things in - at least that's the case for the GT350.

That's what I know so far. Your results may vary.
I use Sport mode at the track for the first session when they want us to take it easy while the temp is cold and the track is green.

But I found that the car understeers and the brakes run hotter so I switch to Track mode for the remainder of the day.

Honestly starting the day in Track mode is still a good idea because that gives me as the driver a "warmup" for throttle and steering control.

Well......I can confirm that's complete bullshit. Setting the car to Track mode does not disable TC. I know this 100% for a fact. I did that, and was trying to get out of a friend's snowy/icy driveway. The TC was definitely still on and fighting me all the way.

That paragraph refers to the pre-collision alert and the automatic braking, not the traction control. It may well be that those are indeed disabled in Track mode.
