That does make sense. I've had people call my 335i an M3 just because it had a little spoiler lip and some aftermarket mesh wheels. It's hard for me to get out of car enthusiast mode and look at the big picture sometimes lol.In all fairness Joe Schmoe can't tell the difference between a Boss302 and a V6. When I had my 2011 V6 my partner at work came in and said
"I saw your car in blue on my way in it had some stickers running down the side"
I then asked him if it said Boss anywhere on it and he said
"yeah but it was a Mustang...what's a boss?"
To most people they are all one in the same. It's like me with BMW. I couldn't tell you a 125i to 335xi to 752i? I just don't follow BMW so I don't know.
