In all fairness Joe Schmoe can't tell the difference between a Boss302 and a V6. When I had my 2011 V6 my partner at work came in and said

"I saw your car in blue on my way in it had some stickers running down the side"

I then asked him if it said Boss anywhere on it and he said

"yeah but it was a Mustang...what's a boss?"

To most people they are all one in the same. It's like me with BMW. I couldn't tell you a 125i to 335xi to 752i? I just don't follow BMW so I don't know.
That does make sense. I've had people call my 335i an M3 just because it had a little spoiler lip and some aftermarket mesh wheels. It's hard for me to get out of car enthusiast mode and look at the big picture sometimes lol.

Hell if you want extreme. Most people call the Challenger a Mustang or Camaro. Some call it a Charger but barely anyone calls it a Challenger.

I cringe when I hear "Nice Camaro!"

What? are people retarded? oh right cars are appliances now. I'm surprised they knew a model name and didn't call it by just it's manufacturers name.

Nah, that's too high "enthusiastish" (yep made that up). Most people just say "hey look at that car!" or "Nice car/ride/wheels".... in 10 more years it will be "nice moving thingy"

Most people you are right about. My girlfriend loves riding in mine but could give a single crap about it lol.

But I have stangs and build hot rods for me, not anyone else.

I was specific to write "more exclusive to the layman," meaning that your typical Joe-Schmoe won't be able to distinguish an LE model from any of the vanilla models, especially once you throw the readily available LE appearance package on any EB or GT. Compare that to the upcoming hi-po models which will look and sound different. They might not literally be more exclusive, but they will definitely appear more rare to the public eye.

I just want to recap my earlier post which seems to have irked some people. I'm not attacking anyone's choices here... buy whatever the hell floats your boat and I hope you enjoy it to the fullest. My initial comment specifically brings up my inability to relate to someone that would want to pay a hefty markup for something like the LE when... well, I basically just laid out my points in the above paragraph.

Before you click that submit button, think to yourself, "is this post going to contribute something worthwhile to the conversation or am I just adding fuel to the fire."

I agree the layman won't know the difference between the models or the packages. I've been to a lot of car shows with the Boss 302 and the Shelby GT500 parked next to each other. The layman might know that they are mustangs but doesn't know the difference between the two. I enjoy talking to people and giving them a little history on the models and on their differences.

I went to a coffee and cars show today at the Blackhawk Museum. All types of cars and trucks were there. It was a really good turnout of a lot of nice cars. The Museum itself had amazing cars with a placard in front of each car with the information and it's history. Great Time.....

Well I will disagree. It's too costly for the aftermarket to try and produce.

If Ford even releases it as a service part for the masses. In the '80's you needed to do some creative paperwork to order a ceramic GNX turbo from Buick.

If FR adds it to their catalog it will be expensive, the aftermarket will not offer it, look closely at the pictures on the first page of the thread, it has a lot more going on than just glass glued to together.

I would hate to know how much that glass will cost over the counter but I want it.

Side Note: Whats with the haters again? The LE is awesome.

If I read the order guide right you have the premium package in order to get the 50th Anniversary Appearance pack. Has anyone ordered a base GT w/50th Anniversary Appearance pack? I wanted to order a GT this way but doesn't look like it can be done.
No options on 300A GT other than Color/PP/Recaro/Trans/Gearing/Reverse Park Assist/Security/Mats

That's what I thought! Was hoping I misread the guide!!! Not a fan fan of the PP wheels. Still might order a GT w/PP and get some aftermarkets wheels.
