With a dual pump, boost referenced return system, 8AN feed and return, on e85, what whp will the ID1050X support? Looking to be mid 800's, are these enough? Big price jump to go 1300's.

Make sure your pump is up to the task.

I have seen some drop flow BADLY, as the pressure increases.

That's about all I have to add to this, however have made that power number before on those injectors on E85.

Was planning dual 450's, should I go triple?

If it was my car, I sure would.

If you were doing race gas only, the duals are fine.

But I would speak with your fuel system company first, to double check.

Twin 450 pumps move more fuel than 8x1050 injectors can even at 80psi. The twin 450 is all you will ever need. Twin 450s can run over 1000hp e85.

That was my original thought as well.

I see in your sig you have similar power to my goal, what is your fuel setup like?

Twin pumps are more than enough for your power goals on E-85. The 1050x Injectors you can do 800whp, but not much more than that. Triple pumps are for cars making stupid power.

It's a CJM fuel system (whipple kit specific) that has twin Fore 450s with PNP wiring for stock harness, and a Hobbs switch and relay kit for the aux/2nd pump. -8 feed Y split to twin -6 into the rails, to twin inlets -6 fuelab regulator. -6 regulator output to stock feed pipe being used as return. QD adapter at pump connecting stock feed (as return) to Fore -6 return fitting.

Plus ID1000 injectors (1050x wasn't out yet).

I have room for more (In the fuel system) and will probably go another 40-50hp this year after I install my TSS gears if my 1000s allow it. I haven't checked my current duty cycle. But I think they have a little more room yet.

Correction to my initial post, I meant to say that the Walbro 450s at 80psi will still out flow the 1050s. If the 1050s were being run at 80 psi I have no idea what they would actually flow, a lot I am sure but nobody runs that high.

Good stuff, thanks, I tried to find the CJM kit but only could find kits for other cars, nothing mustang specific. Do you have a link? Or did they abandon the mustang line?

I am going Whipple, so would be nice to find a specific kit.

Its not on the website right now, but if you email it is available on a built to order basis.

1050X's with twin Ti274's will go 970whp on E85 all day. 1100-1150whp on gas.

Current double pump with 1050s, just under 1k. I do have 1700s and plan on triple pump for the next big jump.

You can go to e50-e60 tune with nearly the same timing as e85 to give your fuel system more headroom. Im doing about 800 rwhp on a whipple with just a dw400 and BAP and id1050x on e55. Not sure if the whipple rails matter or not in my case.
