I have a 2015 GT PP and the driver side IMRC shaft was broken. Stock intake manifolds are still backordered and are pretty much unobtainable. I am not prepared to do the 2018+ intake just yet but I am curious as to what tuner will turn off the IMRC to cancel the CEL and what tuner will adjust for the IMRC delete out of the box without purchasing a tuner AND an expensive tune.

Kind of in the same boat. I ended up picking up an intake off of marketplace. No tune required and I have my old 1 to do a lockout later if I decide to.

i don't understand this. no tuner can turn off the imrc's without first buying the tuning device And paying for a tune. any tuner will turn off imrc's they are not required for smog. Your choices are to buy a lock out and lock them out or buy the software and turn them off yourself if you don't want to pay for a tune

As @Jackson1320 said the question is confusing.

If you are looking to buy a tune and tune device, Lund will support imrc lockouts.

Yeah this isn't just something you can do with like forscan. You might have luck having a local speed shop tuner that can hook up an MPVI2 and change just that for less than their standard tuning cost but thats about it.

I have a 2015 GT PP with the 6 speed MT I just installed the 2018 intake manifold and installed the lock outs also bought the SCT X4 tuning device and custom tunes from Auto Mafia Racing they sent me the tunes and all I have left to do is the data logging. The manifold cost was $475.00 the locks and tunes were $484.00 the SCT X4 device was $310.00, Total was $1269.00. If you are thinking of the 2018 manifold, do it! You won't regret it. I went with a custom tune for $310.00 and a ghost cam tune for an extra $125.00 so you could save $125.00 off the $484.00 price if you don't get the ghost cam tune and $49.99 for the lock outs and now it is only $310.00 for the tune. The car goes like a sculled cat!

I hope this will help anyone that is thinking about getting a custom tune for you Mustang. I just purchased a custom tune and a ghost tune for my 2015 pp Mustang, I did the data log and sent it in to have it tweaked. What I didn't know is that in order for the tuner to do the adjustments to the tune you can only have one tune in at a time. It seems that each tune overwrites the other. So, if you install the custom performance tune and then install the ghost cam tune the ghost cam is all the tuner can see in the data log. The ghost cam tune is a toy something to play with. If you load the ghost cam you have lost your performance tune until you reload it. If you want the sound of the ghost cam tune it is going to be one or the other, not both. I thought that you could load both of them and that they worked in conjunction with each other, HA, not so. Now I have to do my data log all over again. I would not waste my money for a ghost cam if I had known that you have to install it at the sacrifice of the performance tune.

Get tuned with PCMTec and you can switch your tunes with the buttons on the steering wheel.

I have a 2015 intake manifold with 32K on it. I installed the 2018 manifold on my 2015.

Not to mention that the ghost cam tune should effectively be overlayed over the performance tune effectively making them the same except at idle.
