I'm lowered on eibach springs and have the steeda IRS subframe brace. No wheel hop issues. I already plan to get better tires, currently have Sumitomo HTRZIII 275s in the rear. I'm looking to get 305s soon.If your not drag racing it I wouldn't worry about upgrading any of them. Eventually your clutch is going to need replaced but the axles should be ok unless your getting alot of wheel hop? What suspension mods and tired do you have?
Keep in mind the compound of the tire is more important than the width. That's not to say width doesn't matter because it obviously does, but if you have a street tire in 315s, you still probably won't hook with the Edelbrock in anything less than 3rd gear. If you can deal with the repercussions of a drag radial (i.e. shorter life span and bad in the rain), then they are absolutely worth it. You might even be able to use second gear againI'm lowered on eibach springs and have the steeda IRS subframe brace. No wheel hop issues. You should be good then, I'm really happy with my indy 500's btw!I'm lowered on eibach springs and have the steeda IRS subframe brace. No wheel hop issues. I already plan to get better tires, currently have Sumitomo HTRZIII 275s in the rear. I'm looking to get 305s soon.
Yea I'll be doing some research. I need wider tires anyways since the 275s I have on the 10.5" wheels have the wheel sticking out a little past the tire. Thinking of Indy500s or Mickey Thompsons. Still debating if I want to go for a drag radial.Keep in mind the compound of the tire is more important than the width. Yea I wasnt sure how much time the stock clutch has left, heard some people getting a good couple thousand miles out of it after putting on a blower. I think I'll be getting a McLeod RXT around black friday. You’ve doubled the HP. The clutch will definitely be the first thing to go. Your gonna have to slip the shit out of that thing to try and rain that power in.
I’ve owned high powered stick cars in the past. With the axles it’s if they will break? With the clutch. It’s just a matter of how long til it breaks.Yea I wasnt sure how much time the stock clutch has left, heard some people getting a good couple thousand miles out of it after putting on a blower. I havent seen the RST for 2018s, just RXT.If your aren’t changing anything else, I would recommend going with the RST rather than the RXT, has better street/daily driver manners than and less low rpm chatter, and will probably let your MT82 last a little longer especially with dr’s
I've got the Indy 500s with the same setup, keep in mind R compind tires void the warranty on the drivetrain.Yea I'll be doing some research. LOL at tires voiding warranty.I've got the Indy 500s with the same setup, keep in mind R compind tires void the warranty on the drivetrain.
I'm currently looking into getting half shafts so I can use DRs.
The indy 500s hook really well for the street but there's no way I'll get a good 60' at the track.
