Saw this rubber isolater with a metal shell attached to the right diff bolt while poking around under my 2019 Bullitt. Could this be what helps give the Bullitt it's unique sound as it sits just above the right exhaust pipe. I haven't seen it on any other 2018-2019 mustang under carriage pictures I have looked at and can't seem to trace the part number to anything- yet. You can flick it with a finger and it bounces around pretty easily and gives off a deep "tink" sound. Hmm....anybody know?

Hi, I see you’re up in Paso. We’re down in Grover.

Curious who you bought the Bullitt from.

It's an NVH mass damper for the rear axle; there are two of them and they have nothing to do with the Bullitt's exhaust noise.

Hi Cal Captain! Originally from San Luis Obispo, hence the SLOBullitt handle. Bought in Bakersfield as all the local dealers wanted a LARGE ADM. Are you by chance friends with a gentleman named Dan? He mentioned he has another friend with a Bullitt.

SLO County is pretty small so I'm sure we'll run into each at some point. Be fun to talk mods and how awesome this car is. Already did the GT350R springs, Steeda clutch spring, JLT oil catch can, BMR jacking rails and cradle lock out kit with Steeda alignment pins (a major pain BTW), Steeda hood struts, window tint and protective wrap, and FP filter as the yellow filter just wasn't doing it. The stance is very nice with the lowering springs, but kinda stiff and bouncy. Anyway, see you around the sandbox.

Thanks for the info. I only seem to have one on the right side though.

I just did my first event with SLOStangs, the local club. I've met a few people but do not know Dan.

Nice mods. How far you going with that???

Ive heard of that club. Just about done with the mods. Maybe the GT350R sway bars??? Considering a mgw or barton shifter because what everyone has said seems to be true, the stock shifter is not very crisp and no matter how slow or quick I shift the tranny seems to have a nibble in second to third and 5th to 6th seems to be a 5th to 4th unless i angle it into 6th. Mustangs have never been known for their shifters IMO, back in the day the first mod was usually a Hurst for the toploader.
Anyway, I didn't buy this car as an investment or to worry about resale value. I understand voiding a warranty, but it's going to be my baby for a long, long time so I'm not going to be shy about doing what I want on it. The 480 hp is enough for me, so I doubt I'll need any more power for my needs, but handling and shifting improvements are never bad mods. You have anything planned?

Not really. Maybe some minor things like clutch spring/perch. I already fixed the crappy one-note horn and replaced the rear deck lid to get rid of that gigantic BULLITT "dog bowl" as Aileron calls it. Maybe jack rails to protect the underneath... but I suspect those rails are mostly for the guys who never stop fiddling with their cars. :like:

Yes, Mustang owners are known to fiddle! While I waited the 7 months for my car to finally come in I figured out what I wanted (actually needed) to do thanks to all the stang owners who took the time to give some solid opinions and had all my parts ready to go. Spent a weekend busting it out to get the cursing, sore back, neck, busted knuckles out of the way in one fell swoop.

Clutch spring - so nice! You'll enjoy the feel.
Jacking rails - don't be the guy who say's, "it's just a pinch weld. You can't even see it!"

Since you're a local lemme know if you need any help.

Hey, I've driven SUVs the last 20 years and have never owned an American muscle car; I have to ease into this.

Thank you for the offer, I might take you up on your offer for some of the less esoteric mods (i.e, ones that don't cost $$$$$).
