Started making the built shortblock into a built longblock yesterday. I didn't get a picture with the cams on it, but they're not torqued down anyway I am waiting on the ARP cam tower bolts so I just put them in place with the old TTY hardware and covered her all back up.

Install was pretty easy. I previously purchased a ball joint separator when I replaced the stock GT control arms with the PP1 versions with the air deflectors, so I was glad I invested in the right tool for the job.

I used a wire brush to remove the old loctite from the frame bolt and used some Permatex orange thread locker. The original ball joint nut is nylock but the one that came with the Steeda kit wasn't, so I used a small drop on that nut and marked both the bolt and nut with a paint pen for later inspection to make sure nothing moved 👍
Awesome, thanks for the info! I'm not sure if it's the same brand, but I saw an identical-looking unit on Amazon a while back, I added it my list for future buying - looks like I can use your post as confirmation it'll work decently :sunglasses:

Replaced the incorrect SP-589 with the correct NGK LTR7CP13. I only found this out recently, but despite SP-589 being listed as the appropriate replacement for 18-21 GT's, it's actually one heat range hotter than the plugs the car came with. The car ran fine regardless, but still, the plugs definitely had more color to them than the originals I took out. #4 was the worst. You can't really get the OEM plug anymore, but the NGK 94862 is basically identical to it. I expect to get my timing back in hot weather now, lol. Hopefully this helps someone else when it comes time to do plugs.

I also cleaned up the engine bay a little bit and slapped the cover back on (mostly because I'm busy moving and didn't want it taking up space). Just in time for the snow to arrive, lol.

Switched over from my E85 tune to 93 and added strut tower brace. We still have sunny warmer weather here in Ohio which is surprising….lol.

Don't worry, the cold is coming for you too soon....

Also, why is your coolant level so high?
oh trust me I know. It’s right around the corner.
Just had my oil changed and everything topped off. Didn’t realize that was high.

Yeah, if you look on the lower left side of the bottle you can see the min and max lines, you want to be in between those ideally (when checked cold). Not really the end of the world regardless.

Identified the cause of my abs light/trac control/no drive mode fault.

New hub in and working well, so far. Didn't come with a new axel nut so I need to order a new one, but that's a simple process to swap out.

What is that part, and what causes it to fail?

I'm not a mechanic, but it's the inner washer/ring of the hub. I believe it actually separated from the bearing and the new hub didn't have it as a separate part.

Cause of failure? If I had to guess, wheel hop. I had a pretty significant episode of wheel hop when trying to take off from a dig and I stayed in it, quickly shifting to 2nd and the hop continued.

Failure happened a short amount of time afterwards, like within 20 miles.

Got my built long block together and timing chains on. I hope to get it back in the car in the next few weeks.
