Wow. I knew better than to wait this long. Extremely happy with the outcome. Hard to quantify. It's just better. Like, everywhere. I think you have to go into a tune with the right attitude also. No, it does not feel like it just s&%$ out an extra 1,000 hp...but it's different. I used to think one of the neat things of this car was it just doesn't stop pulling. Sure there are faster cars out there, every day. But now that "just doesn't stop pulling" feeling is like a X4. My CHT's are down ~15° across the board, all outside air temps and driving conditions. On a recent/first road trip with the tune, i saw the highest fuel mileage I've ever seen in my car at a steady state 25.8; pre tune the best I ever saw was 22.X.
I did get an E85 tune, but looking into getting some descent gas to set that one up. Pretty excited to drive that part. Only one station close by and have not tested the fuel yet. I'll get this done soon.
Overall well worth the money and have no clue why this ended up so far down my mod priority list. Especially since I have been through this before on my S197 car and knew what a difference it could make in driveability.
After doing a crap ton of homework and interviewing tuners, I tend to think they all basically do the same thing (I stand ready to be corrected on that one) for the most part, but @Wengerd Performance hooked it up. Great customer service, fast turn around with data logs and updated files.
Based on tuner recommendation, and very inconsistent feedback from the community (and some money factored in), I did not get a (JLT) intake. The only thing I did to get ready for the tune was swap in some clean NGK 6510/LTR7IX spark plugs. That alone was worth the price of admission. Other than that, stock engine; no long tubes, no intake, just a Borla catback. But overall to me, it was worth the cost.
