Ok next question, Would I be locked to your tune shop?
Lets say I have a mustang that you tune and I also have a ram with the cummins and want a shop that specialises in cummins, would the one RTD be able to tune both. Assuming the ram tuner uses HP tuners.

It's a valid question. It is not tied to a car like any Nguage, which is good but is it tied to a shop? Like a lund Nguage?

Lets say Wengerd retired. Is my RTD obsolete?

If I were the Wengerd, I wouldn't answer your question with a 10 foot pole. Cause you'll just in no particular order, bitch/whine/complain/bash.

Nope. Just honestly curious. Am wondering if it is like the MPVI2 .

I'm done with the back and forth with you. Have a great day and a Merry Christmas.

Preferably its best to sell each customer a RTD where they can load and change tunes on their own via the app as well as datalogging.

Hi, I have the MPVI2 also, that I use to tune my Redeye. Are you saying that I'm locked to a specific tuner?

As far as the RTD goes, I've tuned my GT500 with tunes from 2 different tuners, using the same rtd device.
I wonder, if I could use the rtd for my Redeye?
Is that your original question?

I was wanting to know if the RTD was like a Lund Nguage and could only get tunes from one tuner. Answer is it is not locked to a tuner nor is it locked to a car.

All good things.

No with the MPVI2 I believe you can write a tune and then send it to your RTD device. Might need the plus, I'm not sure about how to send tunes.

What I'm learning is the RTD does everything the MPVI does except you cannot create your own tune with it.

I will add this, unless you want to tune your own car the MPVI is not for you. Most, if not all tune shops will not send a tune to it due to tune locking on it is hit or miss.

So if you buy MPVI and you want to buy a tune you probably have wasted your money.

Im excited for Darryl to tune. I have tried another one mentioned on here. While I guess they are good… but they seem to only like cookie cutter set ups. And I get it. I do. But for people that want to do their on thing. The old tuner just could not get it. It was un driveable.
