To get a feel for what you would like better, get a can of black plasti dip and a can of gloss clear and satin clear, also in plasti dip. Take the three a/c trim rings from above the touch screen and remove the carbon fiber, paint two of them with plasti dip, then do satin clear on one and gloss on the other and leave the third chrome or maybe a color other than black. Put them all back and then you have all three choices side by side to compare. Once you make your choice, then peel off the plasti dip on the ones you didn't choose and make them all the same as your first choice.

A little tip with plasti dip, the thicker you spray it on and the more layers, the easier it is to peel off.

I'm anti chrome as well. Don't like it one bit.
I did some pieces. I bought cheap Amazon fake carbon fiber and satin blacked them. Plans for future are

-new steering wheel pieces (where you get the ring at??))

-door handles and pulls. I'm waiting to see if dark horse which has factory black will transfer over.

Looks quite nice with the chrome removed. I reckon satin black would look schmick. But fake carbon fibre looks awful. It looks like a 18 year olds car, with stick on carbon fibre bought from eBay.

Well yea, my car is completely blacked out in engine and appearance … then there was the chrome city interior ruining my thang …I tried …put the carbon fiber overlays did some wrapping and the chrome is all basically gone … but I am just not sure.
I wish somebody did these overlays in a satin black .. not a huge fan of carbon fiber but I HATE chrome so I either leave it like this or painfully remove everything and satin black it all …

Opinions please ! should I leave what I did or satin black paint everything ?

... you know what I love about this message board... so many people try bold things and are not afraid to post it up. I see so many cool ideas.

Thanks for doing this.

Honestly, your right …but carbon fiber REAL or fake looks awful. But “awful” is better then chrome/silver. Lolo

I found out last night those horrible chrome radio dials simply pull out. I taped them up and painted satin black. OMG what a visual difference! I am pretty positive I am going to paint everything … I’ll post pics

Getting rid of all of the chrome is my goal. It serves no purpose on the inside besides giving glare from the sun.

Ok so here is the new version. No more carbon fiber garbage .. painted them satin black and put back overlays back on the major silver/chrome areas. Steering wheel, shifter and drink holder trim and door area. My original intention was to black it all out but as I added more of the overlays it started to look too black/plastic cheap …felt like some of the silver looked pretty good so what do you guys think?

Black ring now satin/matte

Looks amazing. I've been thinking about doing that as well. Specifically on the steering wheel. I hate when the sun is low and it reflects off the steering wheel trim pieces

Okay I did it all! Painted it all satin black. Some are overlays that were carbon fiber, some were not ( like the inner door handles). Since my car is totally murdered this new black interior suits it well! New RTR shift knob too!

I like your second attempt much better op. It’s inspired me to do something about that chrome around the shifter. Mine is a little wrinkled and it’s been driving me nuts.

I did something similar to color match carbonized grey...but now I'm inspired to do more!

Here is the shifter bezel and coin tray
