Has anyone tried to plastidip the chrome around shift boot?

or the cup holders? They reflect WAY too much light for me. I was thinking a satin or even gloss plastidip. darker color. black or dark grey. Thoughts?

judging by a mgw install video, it's pretty easy to get the shift boot and cup holder out, but no idea how to get at the rest of the dash without removing it.

I was just about to ask if there a clear plastidip. What is "stain" clear? Do they have something with maybe a light charcoal tint?

Yes there is a couple versions of clear "smoke" looks great on chrome stuff. More coats makes it darker as you go.
