Chrome(ish) Interior Door Trim Scratched

My driver's side chrome door trim has a deep scratch in it, and I was wondering if there was a way to replace JUST that piece, or if I'm looking at an entire new door panel.

Is the scratch down past the coating?
First I would try a motorcycle screen scratch remover. I keep what I believe is called scratch cut, yellow and red bottle at parts houses. Works well on scratches of all sorts. May need a light sanding to cut edges of scratch before using polish. It will take some elbow grease.

If that doesn't work you may be able to spray a new cleat coating on metal with a professional clear from Auto paint supplier

Yeah, the scratch is real deep. I'd never be able to match the finish, so replacing it is my preferred way to go. I'll just have to work up the will to drop $60 on it.

Rash, how the heck did you find this? I consider myself a fairly decent searcher but never in a million years would I have searched for "cup handle" You are the man!

Just did a little digging at Ford parts.com. Found it under body hardware I think.

I wish that piece were made of metal - this way if it becomes scratched it can at be buffed to a satin finish every time...

Does anyone know if these are available in metal yet?
