Clamps... if welded and you ever need to service anything under the car that requires exhaust removal - have fun with a welded H or X....

Roush must be using the Chinezium clamps.
Accu Seal uses a 10mm 10.9 T-bolt. Any machinery handbook has the proper fastener torque value.

Yike, no wonder there’s discussions on weld tacking clamp joints, sagging exhaust systems and stuff not staying aligned after several heat cycles.

Borla is at 35 ft lbs.
At least Borla is 5 ft lbs closer to Accu Seals 40 to 60 ft lbs. range.

bolt torque isn't as big deal as thickness/strength of the band material.
Steeda's paper-thin band material isn't going to work any better at 40+ft/lb than it does at 25.

Update: h pipe + muffler delete axelbacks is loud. Sounds beastly.
I did like how much louder it got. But Im disappointed on the sound. Sounds more like an X pipe than a deep rumble like I was expecting from an H pipe.

then the rest of your system choices is suspect. I have the Borla Touring with H-pipe instead of the resonators and it's the farthest thing from x-pipe nasty raspiness.

All I have is the H pipe. The rest is the stock AE set up. I got this just so it can hold me off to get a full system. But then again my last car was full Kooks from tip to tail, so I might be holding my bar of expectation a little too high.

I ordered brass locking exhaust nuts for my band clamps because they kept coming loose. After double nutting no more issues.

That’s probably why. I’ve heard that the stock AE have a sort of tinny sound with any x or h pipe.

No, did get louder, still not loud enough. But more rasp that throaty or deep.
