Ya should have bought a Black one ....!!!:D:D
Haha! I love black on cars just like everyone, but I would never own one. I can't even imagine the time it takes to keep them looking clean.

I know you said you got distracted bythis time...but do you use the leaf blower method? I got enough electric leaf blower from a family member, and I cut down the tube with a hack saw. It works great. It also blows all the water out of the mirror and decklid. It hits all the areas that you find water spots after a short drive.
I did use a leaf blower, but what remained on the car, as little as it was, I did not get off quick enough.

I had that same problem a few months back with my black S550. Washed the car, someone started a conversation, I didn't dry it fast enough, and water spots everywhere. I ended up rewashing the car and it seemed to solve the problem. I always dry with a leaf blower, then waffle weave, then finally go over it with detail spray and a microfiber. It's a pain to keep black cars clean, I recently bought a leaf blower and electric pressure washer which really cuts down on wash and dry time.

Totally fine using 50/50 white distilled vinegar and water. Acidic levels are not concentrated enough to cause any damage. You WILL need to re wash the car or atleast neutralize the leftover residue by rinsing the car off. Also plan on re waxing as it strips that as well.

Haha, yeah I know, it's on my list of things to do. I just need to find a shop that does good paint prep before ceramic coating it.
