Can also wet sand with a fine grit sandpaper too. Would need to polish it out when done but if you sand a polish a little at a time you’ll probably leave a little more clear coat. Unless it’s etched all the way to the paint, then he’s screwed. It would have to sit for quite a while to etch that deep though

That would be a last resort step if polishing compounds don’t work.

Yes, for 4x's the cost and 2/3rds the product. Barkeepers is cheap.

I think you mentioned meguir's to begin with. I am just providing an option for those who have tried other stuff without luck. Besides I am not necessary concerned with cutting corners on the finish of my car. I bought a bottle and did three cars. So well worth the price.
