I kinda thought it would work, DFB, but since my bottle of Spotless just showed up yesterday, I haven't had a chance to test it. But, considering that the spots are caused by the same thing, minerals in the water, I think it will remove them from glass as well.

Personally, I like to polish my glass so it never has spots.

I was going to suggest polishing the glass too. At least with glass, there is no clearcoat to degrade so you can be pretty aggressive with polish and pad selection.

All true, amigo and I've found that my "go to" choice of yellow pad and M205 does a beautiful job and quickly on glass.
OK - if I can use the m205 on the glass to remove the water spots maybe I don't need the carpro water spot remover?

MN: Well, either will accomplish the goal but now that I have done a test with Spotless this morning, I can tell you that using it or something similar is a whole lot less work than machine polishing with M205. That said, removing the spots with 205 will not only do that but, also give you silky smooth and super glossy glass that spot removers won't.

Well, I used some m205 to polish the car today and to try to remove water spots. It worked pretty well. The m205 is really not aggressive (like you said). I had to hit a couple of the bad spots a little harder but I got everything looking really good! I tried to polish the glass but it didn't seem to remove the water spots. I might have to get some water spot remover, use that first and then polish...

MN: Now that I've been introduced to Spotless, I'm a believer. I won't do any paint correction in the future without first using Spotless on areas that need it. Just taking that ten minutes or less will save a ton of polishing time as well as clear coat.

Can very bad water streaks "appear" like long scratches? I have some very bad water streaks that dried up and the edges of where the water dripped down look like scratches. Won't come off by wiping.

yes, it usualy happens when you have hard water built up under the hood or water hidden in crevices. When you drive it comes out.

Got it, so it's just calcium and all that bad stuff that's stained into the clear cloat that makes it look like a long scratch right? I'm assuming they come out easy with a light polish or what do you recommend? The lines are very long and the "scratch"-like water streaks won't come out
