Thats exactly what I am doing. Not trying to fuel any fires. Just trying to get information on the process. However, the reps reaction to my car was more then uncalled for as he was very aggressive and accusatory. I have bought many cars from this dealer and will speak with the GM in the morning about the individual. I have no doubt, from pasts experience, Ford will take care of my car and me.
Good cop/bad cop. Take Joe's advice.Thats exactly what I am doing. Not trying to fuel any fires. Just trying to get information on the process. And I'd tow it right to a different dealer.
I agree with something along these lines. That is complete bullshit that the service advisor went down that road immediately. That guy sounds shady. Watch out for the tactic where they charge you for the tear-down/inspection after they tell you your warranty is void...
If I brought my new car (any car but especially a GT350) and was met with a prick like that already hinting at giving me trouble....I'd just ask flat out.. "Do you want the warranty service or not, because I'd be happy to take it to the next Ford dealer.".
I don't think these service guys understand that Ford warranties this car for track use. When I took my car for oil change before my last track day, I was having a convoy with one of there advisors, and told him I was going to the track, and his reply was "don't tell us that if you wanna keep your warranty". I proceeded to tell him it's covered for track use. Several other advisers didn't believe me, until the service manager told them I was correct. So out of 6 strive guys only 1 knew it was covered.,PM sent
Thanks!
That is correct.Isn't it just "non timed" racing. AKA amateur only of course.................
This story warms my heart. I hope its consistent.Have you seen this article?

My engine on my s197 blew up before the first oil change. The service rep told me I was not entitled to a rental replacement and that they wouldn't get to my car for 2 weeks. I was persistent and he was ignoring me, I walked into his office called Ford Customer Support with him in there, told them how I was being treated and the next day he was fired, I had a rental and my engine was replaced in 1 week. The actual Ford Techs were great though!
So my advice is call the Ford Customer Support line very first thing. Also taking your car to a track DOES NOT VOID THE WARRANTY!!! Unless you are running around outside the operating limits of the vehicle.
