Well, I hate to put a sour note on your search, but I would highly suggest you join those other forums before buying a Camaro or a GT350. The GT350 definitely has a lot of the identical BBQ ticking issues. The Camaro has also had a pretty notable rash of ticking and rattle noises as well. Currently, the Camaro has had some serious problems with bad lifters needing replacement, and the design has not yet been refined to solve the problems. All these muscle cars have had enough issues to make me buy the car I like to drive the most. And last but not least, the Challenger. It's a cool car, but the interior is just ugly imo, and the car suffers from something no suspension can fix...it drives like an M1 Abrams. It's literally a tank with the agility of a Saturn V rocket. Powerful, but only fun to drive in a straight line.Sadly I was REALLY pumped to get a BULLITT, but after seeing all these Tick issues I'm starting to lean more to a GT350 or, sadly, even a Camaro SS 1LE. Ford is teh only American company I've ever owned and was REALLY hopping to keep it that way, but sadly I really feel like I have to look around now.
All this led me back to buying the Mustang. Considering I care nothing for bells and whistles, a base model stick shift GT is more than I need to enjoy driving. If I want a better stereo down the road, I'll install that myself.
