Buy a 392 or a Hellcat. They don’t look as sexy as a mustang, but they’re fast and fun (and reliable!). Ford is out of their minds building $40k grenademobiles.
Still loving my Charger and still not regretting walking away from the GT. I come back occasionally and it’s the same amount of lemon and buy back posts as in January. I hope Ford gets their sh*t together soon! Only issue I’ve experienced with the mopar is a loose connection on a fog lamp.
I actually like it more than the GT. Fast, check. Good tech, check. Fits four people comfortably, check. It’s not a mustang, but (unlike my 17) the body panels actually line up. I’ll probably look at the 2020s when they come out.
I bought an 18 scat pack. Fully loaded it was less money than a GT with a bigger engine and very little reliability issues. I wanted a 5.0 so bad but no way I was going through motor issues.
I'm going to back you up on that - I have my doubts on the maturity on some of these people.
And also, "Go to car meets and slowly roll up while the engine is ticking. Hand out fliers with the SSM as well to make sure everyone knows it's "normal." HAHAHAHAH!
I went and bought an '18 Charger Scat Pack after walking away from an 18 GT for this exact reason. No F's given if Ford says it's normal, all one has to do is look at the amount of issues posted in this forum to deduce that it's not. Ford lost me as a customer on this one.
Feeling better about walking away everyday from the '18 GT deal now. Sorry to the OP for the hassle, Ford owes us an explanation and action plan at the very least.
I would suggest that, if CJ really believes this "theory" - why don't they just take a plastic oil pan and a metal oil pan, a sound meter, and actually test this for us. They won't though, because it's all b.s..
I'm sorry bro, that doesn't hold up. You're comparing apples to drywall. Try a dog dish - metal vs plastic. Physics is on my side on this one and you can't reinvent those rules just because we want to believe that CJ is right or Ford isn't making terrible engines.
