Has anyone posted the engines builders for their VooDoo for the various years? I'd be curious to correspond the builders names to oil consumption or engine issues

I don't know if this kind of thing is being tracked anywhere outside of Ford. I couldn't find much from a quick search, but here's some of the builders sigs for the Predator engine.

Both of the builders for my '16 GT350 Voodoo are on that list -Jeff Hamblin, Robert O. Maskell Jr. - I've put about 3k miles on the car since I bought it new last year (long story) and it's been running great so far! This might be the opposite of the thread's initial intent, but I'd rather say "Thanks, Jeff and Robert"

My 2016 has Deitch and Patterson it looks like. I have almost 16000 miles and runs great. Normal engine oil consumption, maybe 1/2 quart every couple thousand miles

Almost 14,000 on my 2020. No oil consumption, and I take her to 8000 every chance I get.

On my may 2015 original engine it’s Phil Pregano and Keith Gustack. A very early build. I think it’s on schedule to use about a quart every 1800- 2000 miles . I just switched to Amsoil so I will be watching if there’s a difference.

Interesting thread (just like the other).

However, I don’t think a builder can be held accountable for any oil consumption OR engine failures just because they were the responsible party for assembly (via tagged sig plate). The engine could have been built with parts that were supplied by a vendor that were faulty before ever being pulled from a bin and put into an engine.

I think it’s totally baseless to correlate any oil consumption or engine failure to a Ford assembly line worker. That would be like buying a 75” Samsung TV and the TV blows up after plugging it in, or blows out 2 months later. Should the failure be blamed on the worker who assembled it and signed off on the QC label? LMAO.

With the undeployed time chain recall the same name kept coming up over and over

Association does not mean causation.

Yes, and back when it happened I did a quick search and saw that he had been an engine builder there since years prior to the timing chain tensioner issues. So are we suggesting the most plausible and reliable explanation is that after years of building the engines, one day he walked into the factory and started forgetting a step over and over again, until Ford issued a recall to address his immediate early onset dementia? No other possible variables?

Internet sleuthing tends to be ripe with logical fallacies.

32 engine builders and the thread dedicated to undeployed tensioners / failed engines came up with one other name one time, Incredible coincidence. No you’re right though, internet sleuthing.

Yes, but you can still have a 100% positive association, and a complete 0% causative link.
