  2. My Buddy, Me, & TESLA model X

For me after driving one for some distance, it was like going on a date with a beautiful woman that never responded or talked back. No personality. Reminded me of a fancy golf cart .
  3. Getting lighter wheels are a game changer.

This is a great thread , good experiences shared . I’ve found that lighter wheels are aggravated less by bumps , not working the springs and shocks as much , therefore keeping the tire patch larger. Your ride is smoother. Then there’s the gyroscopic effect up through the steering wheel, making...

  6. Would you guys trade in your current mustang for the 2024 dark horse

My initial response is NO; I’ll explain myself. History repeats itself. It’s 1970 and you have a new 1970 Mach1 cobra jet drag pack . You hear Ford is coming out with the new 1971 429 Mach 1 cobra jet.? What do you do? Then in 1973 you have a Q code mach1 and in 1974 they’re coming out with a...

  11. Trade the Mach 1 for an M2?

I’ve seen you mention costs $$$$$ of the BMW and you are probably in your peak earning years and your profession. From my being in the automotive industry for 30 years, and watching the value depreciation on the BMW., it’s not the original cost of the BMW, but what it cost on it considering it’s...
  12. GT500 Track Oil

I’m using Amsoil as it still meets fords recommending specs . My memory was that it’s better at extremes than Ford Motorcraft oil. Viscosity should be better at maintaining as well.
  13. New to me GT350 - bought on May 15th 2023 from Ford - Tons of issues -

As an electronics technician I was trained that in most cases any electrical problem show up in the first 6 months of use . Then they go into a mature phase . Unless overheated or physically broken your good to go . I feel mechanically things get worse as they go on and become easier to...
  14. New to me GT350 - bought on May 15th 2023 from Ford - Tons of issues -

I know that it’s discouraging but the way this dealer is fixing it , he keeps giving you free balances and springs, some techs just keep replacing parts with fords money until they find it . Glad they are spending Fords money not yours
  15. Carbon wheels

I purchased the longer torque wrench with the snaps at presets. I’m old fashioned and turn my mounting into a fine event, while jacked up only to a non slip .hand starting and pre torque to a light 50 or 60, then star /step torquing with about three increases, Fords info says 135-150 lb ft . On...
  16. Old guy Mustang questions.

If you were to break down the gas mileage differences in costs, 87vs 92 and EB gas mileage savings I think your actual costs should be finding a GT that’s been too long in inventory at s Subaru or Hyundai store. Or An out of place car at a wrong dealer. Dealers have a cost per day in stock ...
  17. Buying new car cash: Dealer wants a credit check/financing application?

A lot of people go to their credit union of bank and secure a line of credit for a purchase at the lenders rate and are told to tell the dealership that they are paying cash! When the dealership might have a contract with that lender for a bought in lower rate . Thus securing the buyer a better...
  18. Illinois 350R goodies gotta go (CF wheels, rear seats) SOLD

These should appeal to an R owner that may track now or later . That’s a real deal for those that list for 6400 each rear and 5400 each front . https://motoiq.com/tested-carbon-revolution-carbon-fiber-wheels/ Billy Johnson can explain them better and spyder composites repairs them reasonably.
  19. How likely to be stolen

I wonder if some cities that use the wheel boot would have one for sale if they aren’t using it enough??
  20. How likely to be stolen

How about a custom car cover with graphics to appear as a 1978 Fairmont . It would cover anyone lighting it up ?
