New dealer. Bought out LLoyd Ford. On the lot is a 4.5 yr old GT 350. Has the original window sticker with old dealership name. Yellow black strips.
Appears to never have been driven. I would wager they would be very happy to sell it

I did a complete walk around taking the pictures. Hard to believe it's been there that long. However, the former owner was used to dealing with the local farmers and ranchers. Not internet enabled either. Ford finally did what needed to be done. Trying to sell cars out of a quonset hut in this day and age isn't going to fly.

Maybe the prior Franchise Owner was holding it for his own inventory or just kept it to draw in Customers to the lot by having it as a conversation piece - who knows...

Some Dealers keep LE's like this for themselves, until they either let it go or as happened here, the Dealership is sold off with its existing inventory.

What was the Chassis #, did you get a pic of it?

Nice find. Thanks for info. Zeck is here in MO/KS/OK and I have had good experience working with them. Someone could get real value here.

That is what I've heard. Ironically, when the old phone number is called, it goes to the KA store as the show room in the old building is being gutted and turned into a customer waiting area/expanded parts dept. The new show room is under construction next door.

Bear in mind that after 4 years the engine and any other moving parts will likely be significantly compromised. You would do waaay better IMO to buy a used 2019 or 2020.

Curious why you would think the moving parts will be compromised?

Odds are it was stored indoors for most of it's life.

I bought a car years ago that was new and 3 years old. Zero issues.

Agree. It hasn't stayed static. It was driven around by the original dealer up and down the county rd in front of the dealership periodically. Needless to say, Tom, the new GM will deal on it to get it off the lot.

Whats the consensus opinion on the 2016 compared to other years.
I'd have to get it wrapped or something to break up the 800# banana in the room.

Based on the WS which suggests that this car was built in the Spring of 2016 I would suggest that this GT350 was a later build therefore suggest a higher chassis number.

This example is 1 of 117 Triple Yellow GT350's built for the 2016 MY with the Technology Package of the 211 TY GT350's built for the 2016 MY.

Not sure of the mileage or the asking price for this vehicle but suggest that if it is still a very low mileage example which it should be along with a reasonable asking price this may be a very good deal for some GT350 enthusiast!!

If there is no intention for the new purchaser to track this car I suggest that this car will provide some outstanding performance even coming without the 3 coolers that came standard on the Track Pack cars for 2016.

Lastly, I hope that FP still has the 2016 Shelby Owners Kit sitting around somewhere as FP has been known to move from time to time therefore some of these owners kits can get misplaced during their moves to a different location.

Good luck to the new owner!!

I will try and swing by tomorrow and ask Tom what the mileage is. They are closing early during the reconstruction.

It all depends on the price I suppose but the 19+ cars have the engine that doesn't wolf down oil plus the improved chassis setup, coolers, etc. If the price were similar between this car "new" and a <20,000 mile 19 with service history I would go with the 19 all day long.

Sitting unused generally harms a car more than properly maintained usage. Indoors or not does not change the fact that leaving it for months without starting it and getting it fully warm is going to lead to increased wear on the engine in particular each time it is started due to oil draining off components such as cams. About the worst treatment possible for an engine is to be started once every 6 months for a short period of time (such as moving it in a showroom).

I would also recommend a complete new set of tires since the originals are 5 years old plus have been sitting. If it has been outside for more than a week or 2 you will need new rotors too as they will be pitted and will wear irregularly from rusting even if it has since been worn off by driving it.

Dealerships do not generally regularly drive expensive cars in inventory to preserve them. They may do the odd demo drive or be used for a while by a manager or owner but the vast majority of the time this car will most likely have been sitting. Don't trust what you are told - only what you can see clear evidence of.
