Does anyone know what's happening in this area on part of the vinyl? These stripes were factory installed (it's a 2020), and this area just popped up a few days ago. Everywhere else looks good.

The elements are creeping in from the edge. I would spray the raised edge and under the bubbles with Rapid Tac II. Use a wrap squeegee to smooth out the bubbles.

If it isn't sticking, use micro brush applicators w/ Rapid Tac II under the raised parts to clean out any dirt on the sticky side and try again.

You may need to use a heat gun on low to push out any bubbles not at the edge. A vinyl wrap edge sealer pen will stop it from happening again.

Agree with Miami, you’ve got air/water/etc. getting in there. The little spray bottles of Rapid Tac work well. Could’ve been caused by a variety of things, could’ve had a wash mitt/microfiber get caught while washing the car or if you use a power washer and you caught the edge just right while spraying down the car. Or something as simple as clothing or a fingernail or something getting caught on it. It happens, should be easily fixable.

I suspected as much, but figured those issues only really happen with new or really old applications. Oddly enough, the edges appear to be perfectly adhered, but probably doesn't take much for something to get under there.

Was avoiding messing with it too much since it's pretty minor (had to use 10x zoom on camera to even get it to show clearly). I'll grab some Rapid Tac and give it a try. Worst case scenario if I butcher it that one section shouldn't be too bad to just replace.

Use a wrap squeegee to smooth out the bubbles.
That is excellent advice from Miami, DDF. You need one of these (lots of varieties,) to effectively remove the bubble. I also like these.

Finally, if you find one or more bubbles that you cannot remove, the needle on a syringe is the goto tool. A pinpoint prick of the needle in the center of the bubble combined with squeegee action pushing towards the hole from all four sides, you can probably get the air/water out. You may see the pin hole for awhile but the vinyl should close it up over time.

So just to update, while closely inspecting the stripes I noticed a couple more areas that have some minor issues. I've heard that after a while the vinyl can start to get problematic (not to mention they scratch/swirl very easily). Went ahead and saved myself some trouble by having them removed by a local shop that specializes in wraps. Took about 30 mins and did'nt even cost that much. Car looks a bit weird to me without them, but I gotta say I'm liking the clean look.

Appreciate everyone for the advice.

That's one of the reasons I decided to add stripes to my car. If you get tired of the stripes you just remove them. As long as the non striped areas haven't faded you're back to the beginning. No harm, no foul.
