Hello everyone just a quick question here I have a 2018 gt350 I've owned for about a month now and I've noticed when I Rev about 4k there is a vibration that I can feel in the shift knob just curious if anyone here may have an idea as to whit may be causing that or if it's normal

I had the same issue. In my experience, it was partly the spring on the pull-up collar buzzing. If you want a DIY fix, autofanatic on youtube came up with a way to decrease the vibration from the spring if I remember correctly.

If you want a more robust solution, you can always get an MGW shifter

I have the same vibration. I have not done the autofanatic fix and just living with it.

It doesn't really bother me I just want to be sure it's normal and not a problem that needs to be addressed

One of the things I learned long before buying my GT350 was to keep your hand off the shift knob and zero foot pressure on the clutch unless you’re using them.
Also one of the things we were taught during Track Attack.

I didn’t learn that at Track Attack. I did learn throttle all the way pressed at all times though.

I have the same issue with my 350. Didn't have it before the engine was replaced last Fall. Initially it was terrible, brought back to dealer and they did something that seemed to resolve it. I just noticed it in the last couple of days at high rpms (I have gotten past 1k on the new engine...). It's not terrible, but I do notice it.

If the vibe is when driving, at what speed/rpm is it most present? Does the vibe go away when you remove the load from the drivetrain, which would be either throwing it in neutral to coast or when depressing the clutch in?

what did the shop do for the prior vibe repair, do you have the work order details?

Notice it high revs when driving and it is under load.

Ok - if the vibe is only felt when there is drivetrain load, usually it is due to driveshaft imbalance.

If it were tires, the vibe would be persistent even if while cruising it would not go away when you either depressed the clutch pedal or put the trans into neutral to coast it. Tire vibes aren't dependent on drivetrain load.

If it were wheel hub bearings, you would feel and hear the NVH as the car is driving or it would be a more pronounced noise when the car is leaning into the affected hub. Bad wheel hubs will eventually have a moaning noise or the car will feel as if it's being driven on a pebbled road.

Driveline or driveshaft vibe will increase/decrease with speed, engine RPM and when there is load. Such a vibe will and can also dissipate at lower speed/rpm range or at a higher rpm/speed range. For instance, you may not feel any vibe at speeds 40mph and below, but take it up gradually from 40, you'll start to feel it and it gets worse at say 70, but will taper off or disappear at 80+. A driveline vibe will also be felt in steering wheel, floor pan, driver door if resting arm on it, and in trans tunnel if putting hand on side of trans tunnel or on console.

Usually per Ford's own TSB, this can be remedied by either re-clocking the driveshaft. If that does not work, Ford instructs Techs to place a hose clamp onto the driveshaft near the rear pinion and adjust until vibe is either gone or has been reduced to not being as pronounced in the speed/rpm range it was initially an annoyance.

I had a similar vibration caused by a missing counterbalance on the cat converter. Once they replaced the cat converter, the vibration was significantly reduced.
