I think I'm done with nice cars. I have worked a long time to get to where I can afford something decent, not even nice by many people's standards. Last car was a used Acura RL I bought online (last online purchase went well). I was so thrilled to get it, and it was rusted. Totally soured the whole ownership experience for the almost 4 years I owned it. Now this time I buy new to avoid that, and this. I think next time I going to buy the cheapest pos new car and just not care. Oh, my new Honda vibrates too. I'm done, just done.... Will continue to go through the motions of letting them try to fix it, but I'll be very surprised and pleased if they can just get it close. I don't have a vibration mental disorder, my old cars were all smooth as glass, even the sporty ones.
I went through the opposite as you. I bought 2-3 very practical, fuel efficient, and completely reliable cars (nothing more than oil and tires, ever). Then I got diagnosed with a medical condition and my outlook on life changed back to "life is too short to drive boring cars". I've had quite a few more issues with my Mustang than I have with the last cars I've owned, but as of now I'm still in the "totally worth it" camp... although I totally understand how frustrating it is to have your car not working right.

No medical issue for me just an ex-wife who took half the house I put all my money into and then brainwashed my 2 boys against me ... but I too now realize you've gotta slow down in life and smell the roses along the way and if you can responsibly do it and it makes you happy, GO FOR IT!!!

Good for you my friend!

1200 miles on my v6 auto and the vibration i feel/see is the rear view mirror is blurry as hell. Side mirrors look fine, but they are more stable. i feel a slight vibration with cruise on at 65-80 when i notice the rear view mirror vibration. but i don't feel it in the pedals or in the seat. This the same vibration you are all experiencing. I originally thought it might have been the road. the first 800-900 miles it was fine, once i hit 1000 miles I noticed it. I do find it amazingly annoying everything is blurry in the rear-view mirror but if it wasn't for that i guess i wouldn't have really noticed it.

My 2016 Mustang GT automatic is on its 3rd dealer ...the mechanic took it out for a test drive and says that he feels the noise because in the differential.... my car has been in the theater since May 23rd it's a couple of days shy of a month and nothing yet everytime I call they give me some bullshit excuse about waiting for some tool to align the rear end guys I swear to God if I could take it all back.

It's probably a drive for you but I had good luck with Pines Ford in Pembroke Pines (Broward Co). They replaced my driveshaft in one day.

Well, brought my car back in to have the dealership look into the vibration again, along with a few other small items that I asked them to check out. A week ago, I went in and took the service manager for a ride and he agreed that there was a vibration and that it should not be there. Then we took one off the lot and drove it, same vibration and ride characteristics. When he tried explaining that they were all going to have the same feel, I politely told him he just proved that there was a larger issue with this model design, and that expecting customers to shell out 30k to have a vehicle they cannot use on a regular basis was unacceptable. My main concern is the potential for long term damage to the drivetrain being caused by the out of balance components that will occur after warranty expires.
When i brought the car in, I provided printouts from this and other forums to try to assist with the troubleshooting, not to be used as a catch-all. I just hope this does not turn into a lemon law issue, being optimistic, but not going to keep a car that I do not trust for the long haul

^^^ Hope you have better luck than I've been having.

Mine has been @ the dealer now for over 4 weeks with no resolution or plan to resolve the issue what so ever.
Last week they decided to point to my Steeda mods and blame them. I have pulled the mods off & they are now back to standing around with their collective thumbs up their butts (Ford FSE's and dealer techs) doing nothing again.

Who knows what condition the car is in after 4 weeks down there, not sure I actually even want it back at this point.

Can't you lemon law a car if it's been at the dealer for 3 consecutive weeks?

Yes, but I'd have to pull the rest of my mods (inc. the S/C).
It would be costly to do, but I'm about at the point where I'm ready to take the loss just to be done with this whole deal.

I sent all my paperwork to the BBB. Quick and easy. They are very responsive and helpful. 30 days out of service and in most states that is an automatic replacement or buy back. Just do it. At least Ford HAS to respond with some kind of remedy. They hate buybacks since the title is branded as a lemon after that. In GA, if you select a replacement, they have to provide an essentially identical car and it replaces the defective car on your financing/rebates etc. So, if you got the 0% deal last summer, it applies to the new car.

The crazy thing is how much I love this car except for the vibration issue.

Well, after two days at the dealer, I get a call and am told that the service manager pulled a identical car off the lot, drove it and informed me that my car was much better than the one he drove. I replied by thanking him for confirming that there is a issue with all the 2016 models and what was he going to do to remedy the situation. Nothing. So now here we go, opened a case with Ford customer service, picking the car up tomorrow, and requesting copies of all service records showing what I asked to be checked, and the results, including any results of the vibration analyzer. Looks like the Florida BBB, AG, and DMV will start getting letters, as well as social media warning all people to make sure they test drive these cars fully before signing on the dotted line. Damn shame, I was really looking forward to having this car for a while

Be sure to read this carefully & make sure you've documented everything.
If you have all your ducks in a row & qualify based on the rules published, it goes pretty quick & easy (and yes, I've successfully LL'd a car before in FL).

Have them research g5, same problem. 2 piece driveshaft. I had my 2011 GT500 with same problem and my early 15 GT PP. R & R with new and smooth.

Update on my car - Problem solved, at least for me. I traded it in. My commute was just too long to deal with the drone and harshness. A new driveshaft fixed 90% of the problem and I am not convinced it was all driveline anyway. The interior acoustics of the car seem to contribute, but that is just an opinion. the 19" Pirellis were a contributor as well - I was noticing an increase as they wore. For me the last straw was a noisy transmission on the hotter days and I just did not have the time or patience to deal with it. Really a shame as the car has a great motor, brakes and decent handling, but the harshness ruins it. Would be tolerable as a back road or track car, but not for a 40 mile highway commute. Perhaps, as many are being told, just the way the car is. At least that was the position of my dealer.

Hopefully there is some resolution for all the owners being patient and sticking with it. For me the whole thing was a big disappointment.

Registered here just to confirm my 2016 M/T PP 2.3 has similar issues. 8k miles on it now, and from 50 - 70 mph it begins to roar and vibrate enough to make the cars in the rear view mirror blurry, and very noticeable in the steering wheel and seat. Certainly feels driveline related to me as well. It is not RPM related, only "groundspeed" related. Clutch in or out makes no difference at all.

Been going on for a while, but I had convinced myself it was the tires or roads I was driving on causing the issue.

The trans also clunks and clangs... throwout bearing noise was pretty damn evident from day one. Also notice some slop in the driveline when coasting in gear, throttle closed, and then giving it gas.

Car is 100% bone stock, never been to the track with it. Purchased august of 2015. 3 miles.

Will be taking it to a dealer in austin soon along with some other warranty issues... oh boy. Sold my 2013 turbo veloster because of dealer incompetence... can't wait to see what happens this time around.....
